My biggest takeaway from this initial visit was the the way they managed to be extremely efficient while also listening, being genuinely friendly and helpful. For instance: I told Dr. Paliwal that I knew I needed a cardiac echo, and why. They have a very fine service that comes to their office to do ultrasound. My echo started a half hour later. I happen to know ultrasound. Technician and her portable ultrasound were great!! Thank you! The first person you meet there is a very nice and knowledgeable insurance person. I had already planned to change my Medicare provider. She got that done for me in no time. I am a very honest reviewer. I will be noticing if this incredible level of service comes with a much greater price tag, or any other strong negatives become apparent. Right now, this is much better than my past primary care provider.FYI: They say they have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week phone access for patients. That's a comfort when your older.

This practice, Oak Street Health is too worried about stats and Medicaid income

I have loved having Dr. Paliwal as my family doctor. He's thorough and kind. He makes sure there are no possible drug interactions and is easy to get in for an appointment. His nurses are terrific as well.
