Did Not Diagnose - Do Dot recommend
I saw Dr. Holly Rothermel for over 3 years at MGH. She ran labs for lupus and other autoimmune diseases that didn't match my symptoms and then when they came up with no results she gave me a prescription for NSAID and said it was an overuse injury. I saw another female rheumatologist who ran 1 MRI and immediately diagnosed me with Ankylosing Spondylitis. I wish instead of saying I'm not sure. I wish she cared and asked other providers for advice but I was left with no answers. If it wasn't for my PCP to refer me to another Rhemutoglogist I would still have no diagnosis and wouldn't be on biologic medication. If I were to advise Dr. Rothermel it would be 'it's okay not to know the answer but please either research more into cases or refer to others.'
