Dr. Howard Seidel, MD

Dr. Seidel has been my primary physician at Kaiser Permanente for 18 years. He is the most professional, considerate, and knowledgeable physician I have encountered. Having recently turned 65, I made a very difficult decision to go with Medicare and a Medigap Plan rather than converting to the KP Medicare Advantage Plan. This was primarily due to upcoming geographical considerations out of their coverage area. Leaving Dr. Seidels care was the most difficult component of that decision. I wholeheartedly recommend him and without reservation.

My annual visit with Dr. Seidel was typical and boring. Just the way we like it. I have seen Dr. Seidel for over a decade and on the few times I've brushed with illness I have been treated with care, compassion, and his unique ability to break things down without making me feel dumb. Dr. Seidel stays well informed, has a delightful personality, and makes each visit personal, even though he must see many patients. He is one main reason I like Kaiser Permanente so much. Their lifetime medical record system is great and makes it easier for him to keep up with my chart. He helps me THRIVE.

Today was first visit to Dr. Seidel. I am transitioning from one insurance company to another, while simultaneously diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. I was so impressed with Dr. Seidel in every way. He facilitated after hours MRIs, agreed to follow-up over weekend w/ radiology report, is advocating (on my behalf) for an out of network surgeon, etc. Having been to many Internists over the years, he gives 'doing what's right for the patient' new meaning.
