Compassionate
Dr. Elmore is a kind and caring doctor. His treatment approach is insightful and is uniquely tailored to the individual's therapeutic needs. It has not been my experience to find a psychiatrist that provides therapy along with medication management. In this aspect, I believe Dr. Elmore is a rare find to combine both aspects for the most effective mental health treatment.

I would recommend dr elmore to anyone whose only criteria for a therapist is that they be “nice.”Beyond that, he inspires very little confidence, particularly as a therapist. I’m not entirely sure what training he actually has in psychotherapy, but I never got the impression he really knew what he was doing, or that he had a specific school of thought in treating patients. Instead, he is a rather passive, robotically friendly therapist, who often seems unsure of what to say or do, and even somewhat nervous in sharing his thoughts. In other words, i felt more like I was talking to a clinical social worker, not a $250 therapist. In the end, when I expressed reservations about the fee, he provided some referrals, and ignored subsequent emails inquiring about possible insurance options with him. not surprising, in the end all these guys are interested in one thing alone: $$$

He truly cares about each patient as an individual and uses medications as a last step/resort, if at all.
