The worst experience ever!!! Made an appointment for 3:30 p.m., arrived 30 minutes early as requested, provided the 21 pages of new patient paperwork, paid copay upfront. Waited OVER AN HOUR in his waiting room. The new patient paperwork seems like it was not even looked over. I brought a CD of recent radiology and patient history for over 10 years. All that was ignored as well. He did not really want any input from me about my condition. Told me if I wanted to receive treatment, I would need to totally discontinue ALL my current pain medications, and only then would he consider taking me as a patient. He did not really examine me, just seemed to already know how I was to be treated, as if by some magic cookbook. He was very rude in his conversations with me, not seeming to care how I felt. Almost as though if you don't fall into his specific type of planned treatment, he doesn't want you as a patient. I CAN NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Worst Dr I have ever seen. He has no business being a dr. He is rude and care at all about your pain. He is definitely in it for money only. He is not a man at all either. Just walks out on you while you are talking. Would not ever recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Kang is by far the very best Pain specialist that I have ever had. He actually listens to me during my visits and keeps eye to eye contact. Dr. Kang has helped me a great deal with a combination of both medicine and surgical procedures. I am not shy about recommending him to anyone that I know needs help. Thank you Dr. Kang

I would not recommend this rude and unprofessional doctor who pretends to care but he does not. His injections don’t help and he refuses to prescribe pain meds that are effective against pain full knowing by seeing cat scans that my back is In terrible shape. He is cruel and rude

I have had severe cervical problems for over 20 years. I was on a high dose of narcotics to control the pain before I came to see Dr. Kang last summer 2019. Since then, Dr. Kang has given me 2 injection procedures about 7 months apart. The results from these procedures were beyond my expectations. Dr. Kang and his staff were very efficient and pleasant. Now I have resumed most of my daily activities and drastically reduced my narcotics dosage comparing with last year.

I completed 21 ppg new patient form & had brought 22 years of pain mgmt records on a CD. Told him I had issues with blood clots so epidurals were not an option. He actually threw my CD across the room at me hitting the wall & breaking the case and said, "Well when you change your mind I'll consider helping you." as he walked out of the room very briskly. My visit was less than 5 minutes and he charged my insurance an even $2,000.00! That's ~ $500 per minute. What does a duck say?

My husband has suffered from back pain from his shoulder to his hip for 2 years. Many physicians have attempted to help him, and full disclosure my husband has a myriad of health issues. These attempts have resulted in drugs of one variety or another. Dr Kang’s approach is direct, without drugs, at the pain source which is nerve roots. Dr Kang is meticulous in technique. Dr Kang has treated my husband three times with positive outcomes. We are so thankful for Dr Kang’s experience and expertise. We’ve recommended him to friends who have had similar positive outcomes. So, if you want pills move along Dr Kang will use a positive and useful technique to work directly on the pain not an addiction.

I went to Dr. Kang to treat discomfot from chronic gastritis and a running injury. When I finally went back to my GI physician, Dr. Pearce, in massive pain, he indicated that the Rx from Dr. Kang was notorious for causing gastrointestinal bleeding. My general practitioner indicated that the medication was also completely inappropriate for my broken sacrum. The PA asked me a litany of bizarre personal questions. Treatment options were limited to an epidural or narcotics. Creepy pill mill.

Assembly-line medicine, seems to spend more time applying hair product than examining and listening to his patients.

I like his decisive manner, and that he listens to what the patient is saying. I am also glad he does not overprescribe narcotics. The surgeon he recommended for my fractured spine was already a first choice from a completely different physician. The surgery went well, and Dr. Kang is managing this phase of recovery.

Dr. Khang will lead you on when it comes to treating your pain. He continues to promise to help you to the best of his advantage and then keeps putting you off from month to month. He loves to give shots that doesn't help the pain. Dr. Khang is not a very empathetic doctor.

If you have a complex case and/or your case involves disability, I would avoid Dr. Kang. Dr. Kang and his staff have trouble when you try to provide them with a lot of information, and the notes taken by his staff contain errors which can cause difficulties when it comes to disability cases.

Dr. Kang has been my pain doctor for years. After a major back surgery in 2010, I was using a walker and didn't know what the future held. I was on so much medication and was scared. I found this doctor. Dr. Kang asked for a commitment to trust him. He got me down to 2 daily meds and I have been working full time for 5 years. Not one day of disability. Trust him.

I found Dr. Kang very caring and compassionate. I have pain due to arthritis in my neck as well as dystonia. I have heard of patients getting pain relief thru dry weaving, but Dr. Kang is the first one who mentioned it as an option. It resulted in me having a lot of hope in Dr. Kang's ability to continue getting my pain level down. I am very happy he is at the Bellaire office.
