Dr. Hussam Alsarraf, MD

This has been the most impactful experience as I navigate through challenging transitions, anxiety, and personal issues. It’s hard to find a therapist you naturally click with and trust. Right away, the staff was incredibly helpful with scheduling an appointment for me, as well as Dr. Alsarraf immediately allowing me to feel safe, heard, and comfortable. We meet virtually yet he still found a way to immediately make me feel like I was in a safe space, with no judgment and impactful advice. He helped to formulate a plan so I can manage my anxiety while also allowing me to talk through trauma I haven’t been able to tackle since childhood. I find peace knowing he is there to work with me, integrate his professional experience to lead me to healing and growth, all while maintaining a positive and professional relationship. I wish I had started with him years ago! We’ve only met a couple times and I’ve already set up months of therapy ahead because I am that confident in his work.

Very tenured and excellent in his ability to listen and also help me map out my thoughts. He challenges me when needed and I never feel rushed or as if he is not listening.

Dr Alsarraf, before he became 'Dr' Alsarraf, must have known it was what he should do in life.His empathy and friendly demeanor are suited to his calling.My opinion: He is a well-adjusted person who is happy with the life he is living. It seems to me has dealt with life's difficulties and made the most of them by setting his own agenda - as fate allows. He has regarded me with the same thought in mind, that is, to help me understand the things I see as problems. He suggests a way forward, generally more than one, or even a combination. He relies on approaches with a history of success and does not press his patient to conform to his suggestions. He is a treasure chest of information that I don't have.At no time have I felt stigmatized or belittled. He takes a genuine interest in me as a fellow human. He doesn't regard life as a competition in which there is a prize. My impression is that he views a 'life worth living' is it's own reward. He has convinced me it is true.
