Dr. Hussam Bitar, MD

My first experience in going through with surgery was be nerve racking for me, at first ,but meeting with Dr. Bitar, it transformed into a reassuring experience, and i felt confident. His atmosphere is very positive, caring and warm.

Dr. Bitar is a fantastic surgeon with an excellent bedside manner! I felt comfortable with him right away and his nurse was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions about the surgery. The surgery/recovery was a breeze and I even have to point out my scar, it's so small! His nurse was quick to get my work leave paperwork sent in and didn't charge me a dime to fill it out (like some other offices do)! If you're looking for a GREAT surgeon with an awesome staff, this is the man to see

Back in 2014 I was taken to the ER with severe upper thigh pain and a swollen leg. It was determined I had been bitten by a brown recluse and due to the bite I ended up with flesh eating disease and became extremely septic to the point I was hallucinating. Dr Bitar had to go in and debried my leg 5 times. He kept me completely sedated because I was extremely combative due to the infections. He warned my family that I could die or lose my leg. I didn’t lose my leg. He was so phenomenal.

Dr. Bitar's nurse is totally awesome! She took care of all the paperwork for my job, no complaining or making me feel like she was doing me a favor, I never got her name so just CUDOS to you pretty lady.

Dr. Bitar was tasked with telling me I had breast cancer, that can't be easy. He was very kind and always answered non stop questions from me and my family members. He explained everything in detail. The surgery i needed can be tricky and oftentimes must be repeated. I am thrilled that it was perfect the first time. Dr Bitars kindess and expertise helped me through one of hardest journeys I have ever faced. He's the best.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. My 3 appointments here totaled over 4 hours for a surgery decision and 2 follow ups. One not being finished until after 6 pm. Dr bitar may seem friendly, but joking about ones health or condition is not very professional to me. The surgery went well but post surgery has been a disaster. The medicine prescribed for pain has little effect on me and when I asked about a different medication, I was told no because this medication should work fine.
