I have had to have several sleep studies, Dr. Weir recommended a CPAP MACHINE, that gave me pneumonia, a severe sinus and throat infection (although I kept is clean) and a virus in the hospital that caused me to have to stay and have it treated while they were trying to treat a severe heart problem. He kept insisting that the CPAP did not cause these problems even through it was well documented by other doctors. I would not recommend any one to go to his office and be treated by him.

Minus a million stars for me. He diagnosed me incorrectly with sleep apnea. He kept treating me despite things that should work did not work. For me he was a terrible doctor because he did not listen to me. He had made up his mind that I had sleep apnea and any information to the contrary was dismissed. He even told me I only thought I slept bad during a sleep test while I was telling him I had in fact slept badly. Another sleep specialist eventually diagnosed me correctly with depression (which explained all the symptoms). Also at some pointed I wanted to see him but was told to wait three months because he was 'doing the rounds' in a hospital. Three months! I think it is best you stay away from this doctor unless you have standard sleep apnea.

Dr. Weir is a very compassionate and caring doctor. He had to give me some bad news about my health and I so admired the way he delivered the information to me. Also I have been going to Dr.Weir for three years and he has kept close tabs on my problem. Because of that hopefully I can make a full recovery.
