Dr. James Edwards, MD

Dr. Edwards appears to be a matter of fact kind of doctor. Listens with eye contact. Doesn't beat around the bush and also appears to take the path to treatment without surgery, if possible. Dr. Edwards is professional without being 'stuffy.' Encouraging to let the patient know he is there if need - just call for an appointment. I'll definitely continue to see him as needed. Very satisfied with my visits.

Dr. Edwards assessed & treated my chronic pain in left elbow. Top notch specialist. Deeply impressed w-expertise of analysis and care. Has a great office staff and an outstanding PA assisting him.

Hearts not in his job. Unfriendly. Doesn’t get and want to know patient. Made me feel like a loser.

He is very active in listening and answering patient concerns. He relates in a very positive manner. He presents information factually. He appears as fully present in the visits.

We discussed my surgery. He answered all my questions and didn’t seem rushed.

Conversation regarding progress of knee mobility over last 6 weeks, much improved but still occasional pain , will follow plan per previous visit and have MRI to see whether meniscus is affected.

He is prob the best orthopedic doctor I have seen ever. He doesn’t use surgery as his first go to or medications. I had used him in the past for my knee and he did an absolute great job in getting me back on my feet. When others couldn’t. So of course I wanted to see him for my shoulder this time! He has a fantastic bed side manner and takes the time to listen to his patients. I’ve had to see many orthopedic doctors in my life and he even beats the ones in St Louis. He treats you as a person not a number. A lot of surgeons have this higher power mentality. He doesn’t. He has a great since of humor as well. He isn’t pushy about procedures. He discusses them with you. Not tell you! Makes a big difference in care in my opinion. He isn’t afraid to try our new procedures as well. His pain management is also top notch. He tired to keep you comfortable not doped up. I have absolutely not one single complaint about this doctor.

Dr. Edwards and his staff are awesome! They listen, share options, and are sincere and thorough. This visit was a post surgery follow up. Dr. Edwards and the entire staff were friendly, and they valued my time ensuring my visit was efficient. All my questions were answered, and I didn’t feel rushed. I’ve had three meniscus surgeries; one by a Mizzou ortho doc and two by Dr. Edwards. I’m completely satisfied with the pre-surgery process and post-surgery outcome from Dr. Edwards’ procedures. Dr. Edwards is my first and only choice when it comes to ortho problems. I’m blessed to know him.

Needed injection in left knee -- nice visit-- procedure went as expected

I would recommend Dr Edward.He is nice and tells you exactly what is wrong. I had 2 shots in both knees yesterday. The nurse practitioner gave them to me and she was good !!!
