Dr. James Iwaniec, MD

Sent my imaging results via mail with no personal input or plan of care to follow just radiologist interpretation stating my scapula was deformed and that my shoulder was subluxated had to beg for pain management poor overall care and continuity thereof... staff is equally as mediocre. Laxadaisically sent me back to work without having even evaluated me physically... ignored my complaints of morbid pain and request for him to review on hand recent spinal MRI that may have insight to shoulder injury. Fast forward several months and not only am I still unable to work due to debilitation and compounding comorbidities. After essentially dooming me with a lackluster RTW reccomendation & some generic upper extremity modifications to work and of course NSAIDS. After waiting over 7 months for ortho i got my own... I was told I needed a reverse total shoulder replacement and I won't be able to carry anything heavier than a salad fork likely for life. Thanks

Proactively arranged a checkup and maintenance MRI. Took the time on call to listen, made sure I didn't have any questions. Friendly staff. Sometimes, I need to follow up on my own care because stuff slips through the cracks, but it's the VA so - yeah, nobody should be surprised by this. Some of the systems are old and out of date, but if you can get Dr. Iwaniec through the other hospitals in the area you can probably be through systems that are better than government.

Dr. Iwaniec is very professional in his approach to care. He is also thoughtful and personable in appointments and easy to be around. I highly recommend him to others.

Best primary care physician I've ever had. Listens to your concerns and doesn't rush you. Dr. Iwaniec has helped me out a lot since I've been under his care. While it isn't easy to schedule a visit with him because of the VA system, it doesn't reflect Dr. Iwaniec level of care as this is out of his control.
