Dr. James Markman, MD

Dr Markman and his nurse Corie made me feel comfortable with the procedure that I was going to have. Explained the process and what to expect afterwards. After surgery Dr Markman came and explained the many unexpected surprises that he found and took care of during the surgery. Follow-up visit Corie made sure to answer any questions that I had. They are a great team and I am glad they were my medical team.

Dr Markman performed my emergency appendectomy. He thoroughly explained the procedure before surgery and even gave us his cell number in case we had questions or needs after. I had 2 post-op appts at his office. His nurse, Corie, and the rest of his staff were very kind and helpful.

Dr Markham and Corie, his nurse, were very comforting. We went in there terrified about my cancer diagnosis. He pulled us off the ceiling in our first appointment. He is honest and explains everything thoroughly. He completed my R Hemicolectomy on December 18, 2024. I have had zero complications and he was very respectful regarding my fear of narcotic and managed my pain in other ways.He followed me all through my time in the hospital, and reassured me when needed. Corie answered all my questions when I called the office and during appointments. They are a great team.And he is a funny guy!! My husband any my kids were also very reassured by him as well!! We are very grateful to him for a positive experience through the whole journey.

We first met Dr Markman when he was randomly assigned to my father after an admission through the ER for a surgical issue. Dr Markman was very thorough, friendly, and never made us feel rushed. We saw him in the office for follow up a couple of times and my dad required a second surgery (as expected for the issues at hand). He is a veteran and really connected with my Vietnam vet dad. As a physician in town, I now know him to take great care of patients and will refer directly to him!

Dr. Markman and his nurse Corie made me feel very comfortable with an embarrassing medical issue I needed addressed. I left there feeling confident and not embarrassed at all. Dr. Markman and Corie were so easy to talk to and very compassionate. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Markman to anyone, but especially my fellow mama's who might have the same issues that I had from birthing children. Surgery went well and he was very honest about how I would feel after the surgery and recovery time.
