Professional arrogance
Spoke with him on behalf of my son on a recent weekend. You would think a psychiatrist would be compassionate. He was very arrogant which is the opposite of what is expected from someone in the mental health profession. I’m a licensed professional and treat my clients respectfully. Marks exhibited a complete lack of respect and was the antithesis of professional. He shouldn’t be in the mental health profession where empathy is needed for those struggling from mental illness.

Worst experience ever
Worst Doctor for helpfulness and worse staff, not helpful or friendly, prescription out of stock, pharmacy willing to speak to Doctor to find alternative, but doctor nor front office would call, so they said I should call around find a place that ahs it in stock, and if not get a list of what they do have and fax that to Doctor!!! No pharmacy can do this as they have no idea of what class or alternatives the doctor would consider, absolutely useless, Doctor unwilling to help by making 1 call, expects patient to make 30 calls instead

Very knowledgeable and professional
He listened carefully on our first visit and only then recommended a certain medication...and kept saying be patient. We followed up and he was very data driven and clinical in identifying progress...six months later, its amazing how good things are. His decades of experience and solutions oriented mindset are the key to his value.

Exceptional
I don’t know what motivated some of the other reviews. Dr. Marks is an exceptional psychiatrist with impeccable credentials. He’s engaging and very funny once you get to know him. He has gone out of his way to ensure my care continued seamlessly when I moved out if state.

Front desk is very unhelpful. I’m still dealing with 2 bills where I was charged different amounts for the SAME 15 minute visit and received a BS answer explaining why that literally made zero sense. As for Dr. Marks himself, cold, dismissive and tries to finish appointments asap even if there’s still a lot to discuss. Also shows up a few minutes late, so I’m really only getting like a 12 minute appointment. He also doesn’t think outside the box when it comes to treatment. I’m looking for another doctor currently and wish I would have done so years ago!

Dr. Marks is the best!
I have been a patient of Dr. Marks for several years. I give him a 5 star rating! He is wonderful, caring and has worked hard to get me on track. Dr. Marks does expect his patients to do their part, take your medication, show up for your appointments, be completely honest with him. If you aren't doing what you should be doing then he probably is rude which I wouldn't blame him. He is very no nonsense but also very caring. I had a very difficult time a few months ago and he really took time to check in with me, and we tried different medications until I felt better. I would not want to see anyone else!!

All the other 1 star comments are spot on. Very rude and narcissistic. He WILL laugh and scoff at you (has done to me many times) and will look at you like he thinks you’re unintelligent. Never lets me finish what I wanted to say and is just overall snarky and mean. It’s funny that he’s in a practice to help struggling people when it very much seems he doesn’t give a single care for you. I’d also like to add he has 0 patience. I’ll never see him again and I recommend you don’t either

OMG! Dr. Marks was the on call doctor on Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was extremely rude to me when I called to refill my daughter's prescription. After I told him my name and my request, he said "I'm done with this request" and hung up on me. Don't use this practice no matter what.

Dr. Marks is rude to his patients and tries to rush you out of him office. I have found a new psychiatrist who listens to what I have to say and prescribed me with the correct medication. Dr. Marks diagnosed me with something that I did not have and showed no symptoms of. I do not recommend this psychiatrist. There are many others in the same building but different suite who are much better.

Dr Marks has a tendency to be rude, narcissistic, and dismissive toward his patients. He unapologetically prioritizes his personal rules and busy schedule above the well-being of those in his care, occasionally going as far as to withhold medication and/or appointments without adequate warning or explanation. Good luck speaking to or seeing him on short notice. He runs his practice as a business first and foremost; people come second.

Incredibly lousy Psychiatrist. He breezes through patients like an assembling machine, and yes, he treats you and writes a prescription, but he's always in a hurry, and seems more interested in getting you out of the office after your 15 minute visit for his next appointment without allowing you to fully address all your concerns. Dropped him after 6 months of not seeing improvement and because in his office you're $$$ and nothing more.

Dr. Marks is kind, sensitive and thoughtful in dealing with what can be difficult issues to discuss. That being said, he can also be direct, honest and blunt (which usually is not appreciated, but often necessary). I have found him to be extremely willing to spend time to discuss individual situations and provide education and options for treatment.
