Dr. Janice Ascencio, MD

Rude and condescending to me as a patient but worse watching her boss around and talk down to the girls in the office. Her demeanor made me uncomfortable to the point where I left her office mid-appointment. Would not recommend to anyone looking for compassionate care.

As my OB/Gyn, Dr. Ascencio saved my life and the life of my two children. She is a stellar human being. Her diligence and attention to my needs was a differentiator in my pregnancy journies. I am a loyal patient to her wherever she practices because she really cares about her patients. She takes extra time to draw out whatever she is explaining about the anatomy to ensure that I am clear on what she is explaining. She is an educator by nature offering seminars and talks to her communities. I am eternally grateful for her service. She is great at her craft as an OB/Gyn

Dr. Ascencio is a skilled and caring ob/gyn. She takes the time to listen and explains diagnoses and her plan for care in simple, straightforward language that a person, with no medical degree, can understand. She has a friendly, reassuring demeanor and is approachable. I never feel uncomfortable discussing issues with her; I can't say that about some of the ob/gyns I've dealt with in the past. I send family and friends, young and old to her and they say the same things. She listens attentively, clearly lays out all available options and once a decision has been made, gets it done. I find her trustworthy and ethical and I would recommend her without a doubt.

Does not address medical crisis. Does not listen to patient. Very unprofessional attitude and demeanor. My health is damaged perinatally by her lack of medical care, lack of knowledge and complete unwillingness to care for patient. Never let this doctor operate on you!
