Dr. Jared Hertz, DO

Dr. Jared Hertz has been my doctor for many years. He is a caring and dependable doctor who has knowledge on how to care of me as a patient who has a couple of serious illnesses. With his medical treatment my life is manageable. I recommend him highly.

It seems like Jared and his dad Howard have the worst shared office staff in the world. Office manager is horrible. They have no compassion and provide the worst patient experience.... Put on hold for over 20 mins, then promised a call back that never happened. They will lie to your face and then offer empty apologies.They have no concern for patients and only interested in money. They refused to provide my test results with out another office visit and copay.Seems Jared's office is the B team and Howard's is the A team... ha Howard's staff did not seem surprised at the problems and poor service from Jared's office as Jared seems to only get the overflow from his dad.... Stay away

On my last appointment I was held in the waiting room for over an hour, after an hour I was begging them to lower the music from the television it was inappropriate and too loud, the nurse very nasty told me she couldn't, after another 20 minutes I started yelling in the room because I was having a literal anxiety attack (in which I see them as a patient for), after begging for some sort of idea on what was taking so long and why they couldn't lower the Broadway musical streaming on my television , the nurse again very nasty told me I'm not allowed to yell and they'll see me whenever they get to me. On my way out she was very disrespectful and said rude things about me to the doctor. A couple of days later I received a letter that Doctor Jared Hertz was dropping me as patient. Who keeps people waiting for appointments for over an hour without letting the patient know what's going on? You never talked to me to see what happened with your staff. You care about my copay, not me.

Dr. Jared Hertz is the best doctor ! He is extremely caring and knowledgeable, I put all my faith in his care. He sees me immediately and always returns a phone call if I need to speak with him regarding my medical care . His bedside manner shows me that my health is always a priority to him. He is on top of everything with a practice based on preventative medicine . He takes care of anything and everything before any disease can happen! Any condition I do have he follows , treats and keeps me at my optimum health.I am grateful everyday Dr. Jared Hertz is my doctor, he takes excellent care of me!

Over 2 hours of wait time. First 1.5 hours of wait in patient waiting area, then half hour of wait after medical assistant comes, then half hours of wait after you repeat history to medical students, then comes doctors to whom you repeat your medical history the third time. Expect to spend 3-4 hours in his office for a basic checkup.

Dr. Jared Hertz is very knowledgeable and attentive. He truly wants the best for his patients and for them to feel healthy and 100%.

My first 2 visits to Dr. J. Hertz were spent mostly in the waiting room, for over 2 hours. That is really unacceptable, and when approaching the staff at the desk to inquire when I would be seen, I was given an unsympathetic and rude answer. Doctor himself was basically thorough, and recommended a thyroid ultrasound, which I did receive. Several days later, I got a phone call, stating I needed to come in to get the results. Another 2 hours in the waiting room. I was told I needed a biopsy, and when I questioned the reasons for this, I was told by the doctor, "well, it's your choice, but don't blame me if it's cancer." Inappropriate and unprofessional, at best. Finding out the results of the biopsy was extremely difficult, trying to get answers I needed to make further decisions. IV center staff gave me no confidence in their knowledge about infusions. Had some important bloodwork done, was given incorrect results, which caused much distress. Absolutely do not recommend this practice.

I would add 5 more stars if I could. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Howard Hertz and Dr Jared Hertz! Both are extremely skilled and caring physicians. If you have any questions regarding your diagnosis and care they will take the time to explain and reassure you so you have an understanding of what is going on with your health. If you get really sick and end up in the hospital, one of them will be there to see you every single day. ( I know this for a fact. 1 1/2 months in the hospital and I saw one of them every day I spent there including the Christmas and New Year's Holidays.) I have always found the office staff and medical assistants very helpful. Some people complain about the wait, occasionally I have had to wait...but to this I say They are worth the wait!!

I will give one star because of the staff. I called the office and reached an extremely rude office personnel Shakeela, who was unwilling to even listen to what I was complaining about. Her behavior was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Everything that has to do with patients has to be a priority.

There are many specialized services in one roof (thyroid, cardiac, gastrointestinal, endocrine). Yet, they seem to specialize best in not getting the malfunctioning thyroid gland to perform at optimal level, with the end result of you being referred to a cardiac unit, even though it is known that the thyroid gland controls how fast or slow every organ works in the body, and is the root cause of all symptoms experienced by the body. Most of the patient visits are seen by a nurse practitioner, with only a one time encounter with an actual doctor in the first meeting. Waiting time and being forced to listen to that horrible music is in itself painful at best. Very disappointed.

Dr. Hertz urged me to get my thyroid biopsied. I had it done in his office by another doctor. There was no follow-up. I called three times a week for results (is it cancerous?) and it took more than a month to find, and only because I kept calling. No follow up by anyone as to next steps but I received 3 bills for the procedure in the months after. This is after my co-pay with the office. l When I inquired with Dr. Hertz' office about the bills they had no explanation as to what they were for.

Absolutely love this Doctor..Wonderful bedside manner and he never makes you feel very comfortable when he is explaining your diagnosis and he is very informative. Highly recommend . 5 stars.

Dr Jared is an amazing doctor.. he is so thorough and calming! Best, best, best!!

been to this office five times.looked at my medicare bills and empire nyship.this practice appears to be so nice to you but bill for procedures never done.then when questioned about these charges they send you a dump notice to me which is an admittance of guilt of what they do.medicare is going broke rates going up.to do this to seniors that need this coverage not acceptable on my part.they also perform procedures not needed to make extra money.then you have two insurances and a co-pay bill you

I was solicited by phone to participate in the Weight Loss Management Program and was told that those visits were not covered under Medicare and paid $20.00 per visit. After 10 visits and $200.00 lighter I received my Medicare Summary showing that Dr. Jared Hertz was paid for all the visits and counseling. I never saw him during those visits just the Nurse Practioner. Within a week of questioning this practice, I and my husband were both terminated from Babylon Medical Practice by Dr. H. Hertz.

He is the best Doctor I have EVERRR been a patient of! Thoroughly went thru my past medical history and addressed ALL of my concerns immediately...I am 100% satisfied. Jennifer Vasquez of Deer Park.

Dr. Jared Hertz is the best doctor I ever had. He is compassionate, kind, friendly & caring..he takes the time to genuinely listen w/out rushing you...he's very professional & extremely knowledgable..talks to u in length about test results so u understand everything before u leave...makes u feel totally comfortable in his care..I highly recommend him to everyone...he is without a doubt the best...I feel I'm in great hands with him & I completely trust him with all my healthcare needs.

I have been using Dr. Jared Hertz since he joined Dr. Howard Hertz in his medical practice. What a gentle and compassionate doctor, just like his father! He has always focused on my medical issues much more so than any doctor I previously visited. He also saw me every day when I had to go to the hospital two years ago. The PA's and the staff are wonderful and attentive. I would recommend Dr. Jared and Dr. Howard Hertz to anyone looking for primary doctors who really listen and care!

I don?t mean this solely in the sense that so many sophisticated services are available under one roof but, more importantly, in terms of the personal care and attention offered.
