Best Rheumatologist in AR
Dr Chi has been my physician for 12 years . I have autoimmune disease which has just manifested with new issues. I have the utmost trust in Dr. Chi’s recommendations for my care and know that his goal is to take the best possible care of me . He is an excellent listener. Autoimmune disease is not straightforward and he does a great job explaining things and never makes me feel rushed. You will not find a more knowledgeable and compassionate physician, and he is worth waiting to see.

Excellent consult
Consulted with Dr. Chi for affirmative dx regarding multiple arthritic joints. After in house X-rays Dr. Chi was finally able to provide me with the answers I’d been seeking for past few years. He took the time to thoroughly explain xray results, dx as well as provide valuable insights into the progression of my condition. Truly his consult was turning point for my health care and will forever be appreciative for his expertise, realistic outcomes and kind delivery.

Can't remember what he says after 5 minutes
Went in. Waited 3 hours. 1 hour just to see a provider another hour after x rays. And the third hour was him belittling me and saying I was lying. He treated me like a child. Said a lot of unprofessional things about me and my reaction to him treating me like a child. When called out on him saying one thing just moments before, he said he never said that. When I tried to leave, he doubled down. Other patients could us in the waiting room and the hallway. I've been disrespected before but never to this level.

Less than a star.
Waited for an hour and that’s OK if it’s a doctor interested in helping patients. I was shocked at this guy’s communication with me as a first patient. I got the strong impression I was waisting his time. Less than a full star.

Find a better doctor
Just like another review, he told me I couldn't have lupus because of my age and race. He also questioned why my doctor sent me. He seemed annoyed I was even there. I thought he was having a bad day but after looking at the reviews, I see this is a common occurrence.Do not see Dr. Chi. You'll wait six months just to experience five minutes of his attitude problem.

rude and dismissive. actively sighed and threw his hands up like a child. terrible bedside manner and professional, and he will not take you seriously if you are young. continually asked why i was there despite having my medical records and referral. claimed fibromyalgia is not a part of the rheumatology field when those are rhe specialists who manage the diagnosis and treatment of said disease. do not recommend at all. long wait times and waited six months for an appointment to be treated that way.

I have become very frustrated by my care with Dr.Chi. He does not listen to concerns I bring up and has told me factually incorrect information about my autoimmune disease. Left my most recent appointment frustrated, sad, and feeling unheard and concerned about the treatment im under not being the best option for my disease

Finally found the right doctor!
Dr. Chi was the first doctor to diagnose my autoimmune disease with great care and understanding. I have Sjogren's Syndrome and RA and possibly other autoimmune disorders lurking in my body. I have seen two of his Nurse Practitioners after getting a final diagnosis and medications prescribed by Dr. Chi. I appreciate his hard work and his associates hard work. I have seen several Rheumatologists that neither cared or understood what I was going through. In addition, I finally found an ENT in Hot Springs that has really helped me with salivary glands that have been infected for years. If you need a doctor that you would like to be able to talk with and feel cared about, keep looking until you find the right person. It took me 10 years to find Dr. Chi and another 10 years to find a remarkable ENT.

After getting a referral and waiting 2 weeks for a call, I called the office to schedule an appointment. I was told I have to wait for this person to do this and the doctor to do this, and it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get an appointment.

Rude and dismissive
I was referred by two different doctors because my sister has an autoimmune disease and one doctor even shamed me because I had not been yet to have the disease ruled out for me. When Dr Chi entered the room he rudely asked why I was there and acted irritated that I was there at all. I didn’t feel comfortable talking to him. He has an attitude problem and needs to understand that people are there because they were referred not because they just decided to come see him for no reason. They took a lot of x rays that seemed unnecessary.

Dr. Chi is the rudest doctor I've ever dealt with. He is very dry and dismissive. I was referred to him by my primary care physician. When he walked in the room, he asked rudely why I was there and didn't care to listen to my symptoms or concerns. I automatically shut down and didn't feel comfortable talking to him. He acted like I was bothering him. I am a disabled veteran, and he asked why the VA service-connected me for my condition. I left his office feeling unheard and devalued. I just wanted answers and help with my condition, not to be treated poorly and humiliated.

Extremely rude and no compassion. I came in as a new patient. I have symptoms and blood work suggesting that I have LUPUS. Dr Chi asked me why I was even there and what Dr sent me there because he (my PCP) obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. Dr Chi told me that because I am a white female 46 years old and out of childbearing years then there is no way it can be Lupus. He then decided I needed more lab work that my PCP already had done and sent to him. $1565 for unnecessary labs and several full body x-rays just to tell me that my PCP is wrong and that I am too old and white to have LUPUS. He never seemed concerned with my symptoms. I wanted answers not to be insulted!
