Dr Bernstein has been my wonderful doctor for many years, taking care of me through minor to major medical events. He's caring, extremely knowledgeable, and very personable. He's been fabulous over the years; always there for me. I trust him explicitly and am grateful for his expertise and skills.

I have been going to Dr Bernstein at Paradise Valley since my previous physician in that practice decided to go a different route several years ago. Dr Bernstein cares about his patients and wants to help them if they want to be helped. I truly APPRECIATE his candid and direct approach, maybe some people don't? He has ALWAYS been respectful and helpful in the different treatments that I have had over the recent years I have been his patient. BTW, I never give references like this as I can sometimes be a challenging patient and questions things and we always discuss options to his credit - Best GP I have ever had over my 60 plus years God has given me on this earth to date. Thanks Dr Bernstein!

Dr. Bernstein has been my PCP for 37 years. When he moved to Paradise Valley my wife and I decided to drive 30 miles each way to stay with him. He is always thorough and personable. Both of us absolutely trust his judgment, referrals and his care.

This is the WORST doctor I have ever seen. He is rude, arrogant, condescending, and lacks the knowledge of basic medicine. I would feel more comfortable with a medical student than going back to see him ever again!!

My husband saw Dr. Bernstein once and that’s all it took for him to not see him again. This doctor was probably the most unprofessional person or physician we have ever encountered. My husband wanted a simple thing changed on a doctors note for us to travel and he called and took time out of his day to call my husband and tell him how “confusing” his request was and continued to basically tell him how stupid it was that he was asking for this simple change. Also, with a hostile tone. I about took the phone away from my husband to ask the doctor why he thought making someone feel stupid was appropriate. Worst doctor.

After visiting several neurosurgeons for my triple spinal fusion of L3-L4-L5 with ongoing chronic pain Dr Bernstein provided the leadership and guidance needed to help me evaluate my options.

I remained in Dr. Bernstein care when my actual family physician left this office. I did not think was possible for a doctor to talk and scold their patients as this doctor did. With a raised and hostile voice he repeatedly told me that I am getting on his nerves when asked him to repeat a couple of questions. I have problem hearing, I could not hear him well because of the buzz in my ear. I tried reading his lips but he was taking way to fast. He rushed his question and visit at the highest speed possible.He did not care for my health. I left doctor office visit distressed, crying with unanswered questions which the visit was intended for, feeling abused, most humiliated and in such state of shock that could not even drive home. One star is way to much how badly treated and humiliated i was.

My experience with Dr. Bernstein has been excellent. He has taken the time and effort to understand my needs and help me to deal with my current medical conditions. He is never in a rush to leave. He is the first Doctor treating me under Medicare… As you can imagine I was concerned about the quality of service compared to my lifetime experience of being covered by private insurance. Dr Bernstein has proven to me that you can get quality medical care on Medicare. I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein.

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr Jay Bernstein! My wife and I had been going to the same family physician for nearly 20 years. But then he decided to start an Ultra-elite concierge practice which forced my wife and I out of his practice. Suddenly I was in need of another Primary Care Physician and that is when I found Dr. Bernstein. He is an excellent physician. He takes time to listen, discuss and he is extremely thorough. He speaks in terms that a none medically trained person can understand. He's professional, friendly, approachable and an all around good guy. In addition his entire staff at Paradise Valley Family Medicine is equally as competent and professional. I would recommend Dr. Jay Bernstein to everyone.

Awesome doctor! He gives you the best analogies for your condition. He is compassionate, and very thorough. We always leave there feeling confident in the treatment prescribed.

Dr. Jay is a cash cow, has no interest in patients it’s all about him and his vacations

Didnt feel comfortable at all. The word Arrogant works well for him.

Had no compassion for my 88 year old Mother who has dementia. Didn’t like the way he spoke to myself or my mother. I wasn’t able to get all my questions answered because I was so upset with him that I forgot to ask them. Would not recommend him to anyone.
