I selected this Dr because she was on my list of insurance providers and read these online positive reviews. The only reason I can think that you like her is that you're native Russian speakers who like going to someone with a similar background. She's cold, arrogant, sarcastic and a huge waste of time. I also didn't realize she's a "holistic anti aging" doctor who also promoted additional "woo woo" testing for an additional $200! First/last appointment took almost 2 hours and I NEVER was able to address my issues! Whenever I tried she told me to "slow down". She was detail obsessed with medications I took over 20 years ago! Refuses to send you to a specialist claiming she has all the knowledge I need. Uncomfortable, obnoxious male office manager as well. No thanks!

I have been going to Dr. Shlyak for 25 years. She is an excellent physician. She is very caring and patient. To the people who seem frustrated by the waiting room times, I have at times experienced this as well; however, it is precisely because she takes her time with her patients that you sometimes have to wait. I never feel rushed or like I am being herded through, as I have frequently felt with other doctors. She is a big believer in holistic approaches first and pharma second but she will not hesitate to order any tests you need and try to find out the root of your issue instead of just mindlessly prescribing meds to mask the problem. She is not perfect. Sometimes I don’t agree with her but she is a very competent doctor and I have yet to find anyone superior.

I have been going to Dr. Shlyak for 15 years and she is AMAZING. You may have to wait a bit once in waiting room but she is 100% devoted to you. She takes as much time needed and never is in a rush. She saved me with a thyroid medication change to armour thyroid years ago when no other doctor would put me on that brand. Very holistic approach to medicine as well. Love her.

I found Dr. Shlyak by accident. After being frustrated by previous medical professions -- lots of medications being prescribed, inadequate tests, and feeling terrible, but not knowing why. Dr. Shlyak was the first doctor in years who gave me a complete overview of my situation. The end result... I stopped all medication, changed my diet, added vitamin supplements for deficiencies. I'm eating better, feeling better, medication-free, and on track to better health. Highly recommend!!
