I would agree that Dr. Slott is direct and that could be off-putting to some. However, you're likely not going to see a retinal specialist because everything is going great. While he may not be chatty, he's competent and confident which is exactly what I want in someone who may be performing surgery. I totally trust his care and will continue to seek his care whenever appropriate.

My visit was on 8/29/2019 and I was a first time patient seeing Dr. Slott and I have worn glasses for over 40 years and never have I encountered such a rude, egotistical physician as I have Dr. Slott... He was extremely demeaning in every way possible and his staff seemed totally uninterested in any aspect of what they were required to do... To say they were all unprofessional would be an understatement...I would never return for any services at any Virginia Eye Institute location and in addition please review your billing very carefully from them... It’s extremely lacking in exactly what the physician did or what you actually received and they don’t even bother to put the name of the doctor you saw on the statement... My eye examine was almost $400.00 even after just having a complete eye examine at the same location with Dr. Hatcher which would by all accounts fall into the same one STAR ?? category as Dr Slott...

Dr. Slott and Dr. Brown saved my eyesight after fungal infection after cataract surgery. They came in on weekends when office was closed to see me. I cannot recommend them any higher. It was a long tedious process but today I can see, thanks to them!! I have several friends who see Dr. Slott and they also think he is an excellent doctor. I am still followed by him.
