Very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned with making his patients better. He doesnt just guess the diagnosis he runs tests to ensure proper care. Best of the best in my opinion.

My son broke his wrist pretty severely and needed surgery. He was lucky enough to be a patient of Dr. Toomey's. Great surgeon with a good disposition. Easy to communicate with and great at explaining procedures and options. He also has a wonderful and caring staff both in the front office as well as the medical personnel. I highly recommend Dr. Toomey for hand or wrist orthopedic care.

Dr. Toomey is a great Orthopedic Surgeon! I broke my wrist and when the cast came off my thumb wasn’t working properly so I was referred to a Orthopedic Doctor and that didn’t work out so My Insurance Company referred me to Dr. Toomey and I am so glad! My tendon combusted and I had a tendon transfer. The procedure was explained fully and recovery is great! He is patient, caring and very knowledgeable in his field. I have recommended him to several other people requiring an Orthopedic Surgeon. Why bother with the rest when you can go with the best!

I met with Dr. Toomey prior to scheduling my carpel tunnel surgery and he addressed each of my issues and put my concerns at ease. I found him to be friendly, easy to talk to, and he has a funny sense of humor. Since my procedure was done with a local, I was awake during the procedure and he explained what he was doing and checked in with me a couple of times to make sure I was ok. It has been 3 weeks since my surgery and my hand is feeling great and healing nicely.

Dr. Toomey performed delicate wrist surgery on me July 3, 2017. He was professional, explained the procedure beforehand, and did a marvelous job, including finding a hand surgeon in our area (NC) for follow-up and the preparation of paperwork and x-rays for me to take along, I would recommend him - and his staff - without hesitation.... they all were wonderful.

For what was a giant bummer (a couple broken fingers), Dr. Toomey and his nurse Amy Ma made for a pretty okay experience, all things considered. I hope I never have to see them again, but if I do, I sure hope they/re in my new insurance network!
