For a more accurate picture of how people feel about Dr. Adams, I suggest you go to another site. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Adams. He is, quite simply, the best doctor I have ever seen in my life. First and most important, he saw me through what could have been one of the most mentally devastating diagnosis in my life is such a kind but straight-forward manner that I went from scared to relieved in a few minutes and have never even thought about it after. But moreso, when you think of going above and beyond, he easily sets the standard. I once reached him by phone at 11 p.m. apres ski in Vail and he only picked up but able to ask a few questions and give a preliminary and possible diagnosis that turned out to be accurate. Basically - it's hard to find the words to describe what a diamond Dr. Adams is. I found him randomly as a doctor when I needed a physical and apparently hit the lottery. Highly, highly recommended.

Kind and Compassionate Caregiver
Dr Adams is a kind and compassionate caregiver. He makes himself available to his patients when he is both in and out of the office. When in his care, he and his team show you empathy for your health situation and express a very sincere desire to help you feel better. Dr Adams will attentively and carefully listen to you describe your health concerns and then collaboratively discuss your possible care options with you. He will then ask you what care option you would like to choose. By him having these collaborative discussions, his patients are able to feel confident in the care option they have chosen. Dr Adams and his team are there for you for both routine visits and health emergencies / more intense care. In the past, I had a health crisis and he came in on his day off to see me. Dr Adams is my doctor of 16+ years and I am so very grateful to have he and his team as a part of my life, enabling my continued good health.

RUDE RUDE RUDE. It brings me no pleasure to do this but I have to echo what has been said here. I have been seeing Dr. Adams for years. From the beginning I felt he wasn't warm and I didn't feel like he took his time with me, but I thought if he's a good physicianI could deal with it. It went downhill from there. VERY rarely did Dr. Adams respond to my calls/requests in time. 80% of the time I had to call back multiple times for test results, refills and referrals. New York Dermatology Group is a fancy practice. I wonder how he treats patients who are part of the NYDG roster of dermatology patients, aka, the super rich. I have repeatedly felt like he's been trying to get rid of me for the past six years. I'm sorry to write this. He has helped me, and I am grateful, but ultimately, he has caused me more stress than anything.

I had been seeing Dr Adams for several years and at first was reasonably pleased with him. However, I have noticed a considerable change in his care since NYDG has expanded-the change has been for the worse. In mid August, I had blood work done and had asked him to call me with the results. I waited and waited. I figured the pandemic had backed up the labs. After a month, I started calling everyday asking for him to call me with the results. His staff routinely promised he would call. He didn't. His staff also, said I could visit a "portal" to get my results. I could not log into that site and needless to say his staff was unable to assist me. Finally, a week later, someone e-mailed me the results directly. AT WHICH POINT I DISCOVERED, THAT I WAS IN AN IMMINENT HEALTH CRISIS. Fortunately, I was able to get the blood work redone by a specialist, but that took two weeks. TWO WEEKS, DURING WHICH I WAS WRITING MY WILL! It turned out to be a false alarm, but no one should have to go through

How does a doctor ghost their patient? It’s been a month since I saw him, and I still don’t have my test results for bloodwork. Simple, easy test. He’s dodged every call I’ve made. Before that, he’d show up late to sessions, constantly interrupt me while I was talking, and generally have poor bedside manner. He’s talented, but not worth the hassle.

If you are seeking a primary doctor with one ounce of warm, caring bedside manner, this is not the doctor for you! Cold as ice, with a chip on his shoulder. So condescending. Misdiagnosed a herniated disc. Misdiagnosed a slight cough. Body shamed me. I weigh 150 lb, 5'8" and was told I need to lose weight! When I said, "HUH?", he said, well....maybe I mean you need to tone up. Was that a "medical" diagnosis? Terrible follow-thru. Was supposed to perform a minor skin procedure never remembered.
