I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Culleton, as well as being a patient on a few occasions. Dr. Culleton is an amazing person. He has the knowledge to do the job, and he has caring and compassion for his patients. Working in the office was a wonderful experience. McLeod Regional was a teaching hospital; Dr. Culleton was involved with the teaching. I talked with him about working with the medical students; I told him to teach the newbies to be human first. So many doctors have a holier-than-thou attitude that Dr. Culleton didn't have. As a patient, Dr. Culleton always listened. He loves to educate his patients. If you need an Endocrinologist, I recommend Dr. John Culleton.

Hands down, the best Doctor I have. He knows his patients, not just a quick review of your chart and out the door. You feel a connection to him and his nurse, Laura, that is lacking in most doctors today. I live over an hour away, and I travel to Florence to see him.

He is very thorough. He is punctual in meeting his appointments. His concern for his patients is only over shadoed by his consume knowledge of all systems of the body and their interactions. He is the best Dr. I have seen. I would reccomend anyone with diabetes see him early in the process and a good nephrologist, I wish I had started seeing sooner.

Dr. Culleton's nurse, Laura, provides medical care with sensitivity & patience, clarity, pertinent information and all-inclusive training. As a Certified Diabetes Educator she offers health and wellness guidance to patients. Also quite knowledgeable and skilled re: various methods of insulin delivery. She gives comfort and reassurance while instructing various medical procedures. Laura gives education & help on how to manage life w/ diabetes. Uses professional empathy in coaching for success!
