Dr. John Lee, MD

I'm deciding to leave a review after seeing all 5 star reviews, and I agree with the one 1 star review. Dr. Lee was very unhelpful during my appointment with him. I am having a drainage issue in one eye and he told me he sees the issue but there's 'nothing really that can be done' that would help my situation and he knows it's 'tough to hear that'. I know he has over 20 years of experience, so I'm sure he's not wrong, but he was pretty rude when delivering this information, especially after I've paid to be at this appointment and waited several months to see him. I was so caught off guard by him and that there was no solution for my issue I started crying and he simply ended the conversation and said I could leave, and didn't even stand up to open the door for me. Paid for an appointment and received no help or follow up. I'm not saying he's not a good, experienced doctor, but my experience with him was really upsetting. I hope he can take this feedback to improve for next time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for several years,since he first diagnosed a condition that I had. I have the utmost faith in him, as he has monitored this successfully for all this time.

Dr. Lee and the whole staff were very friendly and professional from the time I arrived and throughout the procedure.

Suddenly in my late 50s I have been having stye issues and went to see Dr. Lee in Medford. I had been to Boston Vision the day before and the week before that and the nurse wanted to check my pressure. I have issues with the stick they put close to the eye and thought that because I was literally seen the day before they could skip it so I asked the nurse. She stepped out to ask Dr. Lee and he came storming into the room telling me he would refuse to see me if I didn't have my pressure taken this way. And literally after that, he basically gave me no help for my sudden stye issues. He was arrogant and unhelpful and treated my ongoing issues like he was talking to a child who was being scolded. I had to see another doctor who not only helped alleviate my problem but whose bedside manner was so much better than that of Dr. Lee.

Follow-up two weeks after surgery. Excellent, calm doctor. Complete faith in his advice and treatment. The surgery went as expected, with no complications.

I was a new patient. I was cordially greeted by the receptionist, I did not wait more than a few minutes, I was first seen by Johnny, Dr. Lee's assistant who was very professional, and then by Dr. Lee, who did what appeared to me to be a very thorough exam. He explained what he was doing and what he found, and gave me a prescription for glasses that was only slightly different from what I had. He told me that the dilation of my pupils mainly affected my vision of close-up things and that I should be able to drive safely home.

I recommend Dr. Lee to anyone seeking treatment for a chalazion. I had a chalazion on my upper eyelid for 4 months the chalazion was not going away. So I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is professional and courteous, and explained my treatment options regarding the Chalazion. I opted for the steroid injection. Dr. Lee suggested that I continue with the warm compress on the eyelid. About a week later the chalazion was gone! I am very pleased with the eye treatment.
