Dr. John Motl, MD

I saw him at Advanced Psychiatry Associates for about 2+ years. He really helped me over the last few years. He’s been on vacation so I’ve had to see other providers who refused to keep me on the same regimen as Dr. Motl and now I’m having suicidal ideation and it’s bad. Unfortunately I cannot keep seeing Dr. Motl because the facility where he works has terrible customer service and all other providers don’t listen and do more harm than good.

We came to Motl, M.D. as a family in crisis. Dad had PTSD; son had off-the-charts ADHD, ODD and PTSD. With Motl, M.D., we had access to expertise in eastern medicine, western medicine, EMDR, neurofeedback. I now look at mental health in a new way. Through the benefits of EMDR, my husband has processed and is no longer affected by the trauma that he’s experienced as a fire captain. A personal plan was created for my son. He is finally on the right ADHD medication for his body chemistry per his GeneSight testing. His vitamin deficiencies have been cured with regular supplements. By retraining his brain through neurofeedback we’re seeing improvement in his ability to control his reactions. He is able to walk away from a fight, catch himself before he loses it. His ODD made him determined to do the opposite of anything he was asked to do, and now he is –not totally -but much improved. Some days I would even describe him as complaint! Huge difference- last summer and this.

I immediately felt at ease and was greeted with a smile. Dr Motl was able to understand what I have been experiencing and explain it to me better than I could have ever grasped. This was my first appointment and I am extremely HOPEFUL.
