A compassionate expert who couldn’t be better
Dr. Pula is a truly remarkable physician whose renowned expertise is matched only by his boundless compassion. For over three years, Dr. Pula has seen me through the darkest, most terrifying medical experiences in my life, and throughout, he has done everything humanely possible to assist me as a patient and as a person. Not only did he quickly and accurately determine the cause of my partial vision loss, he was realistic about my prospects for improvement. When it became apparent I could no longer work due to low vision, he filled out countless painstakingly long medical forms so I could get approval to go on medical leave from my job and be supported by disability insurance. Not only that, he took 15 minutes out of his busy day to call me and ask how the forms should be filled out, and he’s done this more than once.Quite simply, I don’t know how I could have possibly made it through these past few years without his support. He’s so good he’s on my holiday cookie or crochet list!

He took time to listen, and did some visual tests I had never had before. He was unable to determine the exact cause of my problem (temporary unilateral blindness) but he did a thorough exam and did order additional tests and scheduled a telephone appointment. I had no concerns and felt he did an excellent job.

I feel very confident in Dr. Pula's Hands
Telehealth
Dr. Pula was very thorough and explained my test results so that I walked away with a good understanding of what might be going on with my eye. He suggested further tests that 4 previous opthamologists never did, I hope this nightmare I've been going through since September 28th, 2023 will be over soon. I have great confidence in Dr. Pula and highly recommend him

Waste of my time
I was diagnosed with diplopia by my neurologist and had MRI's done. They weren't able to find the cause so they sent me to Dr. Pula who specializes in this disorder. He had me look throught some optics and said I could get specail glasses that correct the convergence. He did not get to the root of the problem. Is it the muscles in the eyes, the nerves that control the muscles, MS, cranial cyst? From what I have read, I should have had tests to find the problem. I didn't know any more than when I walked in the door. I still have diplopia (double vision) and still don't know what the cause is. Total waste of my time and money.

While Dr Pula overall was pleasant, he documented on my daughters record that she has epilepsy which my daughter has never been worked up for or diagnosed with. when we sent a message asking what this was, he will not answer why he documents without charging us. I am absolutely livid

I had a great experience with Dr. Pula. I felt that he explained things well to me, and had a lot of patience as I can be a difficult patient at times. He was both friendly and professional, I would definitely recommend him to others.

My husband saw Dr. Pula after having several strokes. My husband suffers from dizziness and poor vision from the strokes. Dr Pula showed no interest in my problems. He said he couldn’t do anything for him and rushed him out of his office. He told my husband to start moving and he would answer our questions as we walked out to the waiting room. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He lacks compassion and empathy.

My sister saw dr Pula for severe dizziness. She has had a stroke and is disabled. I arrived a few minutes into the appointment and he was already asking her questions about her history, meds, etc. No greeting to me after I apologized for being late and introducing myself. He showed no emotion or compassion about something that is profoundly debilitating for my sister. He proceeded to prescribe a new medication without instructions as to how or when to stop the others she was already on.
