Dr. Jonathan Brugger, MD

I visited Dr. Brugger for the first time, he is friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. He listened to me what I had to say about my eyes condition, and he explained where I'm at and what the next steps would be. He was very easy to understand, I'm happy I choose him as my eye doctor. I will definitely recommend him.

His clinic got me in quickly and his assistant, Marley, was super helpful and sweet.He is a great doctor. He immediately figured out what was going on with my eye, figured out why it was going on, answered all of my questions, and managed my anxiety well.

I have an easy time when I see Dr. Brugger. The medicine he injects in my eye doesn’t hurt and he is patient and kind. His staff are also very kind and professional as well.

Dr. B. pursues all relevant issues regarding my case. He is cautious in his treatment. When confronted with a rare immune response, he made a referral for consult and then staffed my problem to come to a consensus on how to treat me. Dr. B. explains for me and my wife his treatment and prognosis - and in language we understand. To top it off, he is just a nice guy! His staff also reflects his professionalism and curtesy. Often a renowned doctor thinks he or she is a god, but Dr. B. is humble yet exudes a confidence that puts me at ease.

Dr Brugger diagnosed my autoimmune condition called uveitis before it caused serious damage. Every other eye doctors missed it. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also very caring about his patients. I highly recommend him. I was very sorry to see him leave Sarasota but appreciate all he did for me. You will be lucky to have him as your eye doctor.

Dr Brugger is a partner with Dr Shane and saw me in an emergency situation of a partially detached retina about 3 weeks before my first trip to Europe. He took his time to carefully explain how I could not wait until I returned to do the surgical repair. He also explained the option that would still allow me to fly. Overall, he made me feel very comfortable with his plan of action to what had to be done. He repaired the retina, I made my first trip to Europe , has a wonderful time, and all due to his care and expertise. I would highly recommend Jonathan Bruggar for his expertise and knowledge.

Dr. brugger and his staff took care of my problem(macular hole) in a timely fashion, with the utmost in professional care. Kind, gentle, and quick. I would highly recommend Dr. Brugger as your retinal care specialist. In fact, I wouldn’t go to any other, he’s the best!

Dr. Brugger saw my 94 year old mother as a work-in emergency. We were visiting from out of state and we were so grateful that he would see my mother and treat her, on short notice. All of the staff were so kind to us, and Dr. Burger was so gentle and warm to her, and discussed his diagnosis and treatment to her so that she could understand. I highly recommend Dr. Brugger!

Excellent! His office and staff are well organized and very professional and friendly. Waiting time never exceeded 5 minutes. Dr Brugger was very patient and through in the exam and dialogue. He present clear options, one of which was surgery. We scheduled surgery for that same week which went extremely well. My follow up visit the next day was smooth and the surgical results were beyond expectations. If the condition develops in the other eye, I would surely not hesitate in returning to Dr Brugger.

After two unsuccessful procedures, one being a vitrectomy, by a retinal surgeon at another practice, I was referred to Dr. Brugger. I am so thankful that Dr. Brugger was recommended. He was able to see me immediately and scheduled surgery for early the next morning. It's been four months since that surgery and it was a complete success. I can't thank him enough for saving my vision. I won't trust the care of my eyes to anyone but Dr. Brugger.

I am 75 years old. By the time my father was my age, he had lost his vision. I have wet AMD, but thanks to Dr. Bruger, I will not suffer the same fate as my father. I can still see the faces of my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dr. Bruger explains to me what is going on with my eyes and what we will do to save my vision. Dr Brugger, flat out saved my sight in my left eye. I would recommend Dr Brugger to everyone with eye issues. I cannot say enough how Dr Brugger’s expertise executed very difficult retina surgery to my left I and now I’m back 100%… What more can I say…. He is the best

He and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. They do an excellent job! I had so many floaters in my right eye (they called them astroids because there were so many) that it effected my sight with blurry vision. I had been told in the past that there was nothing that could be done about them, but when seeing Dr. Brugger he assured me he could get rid of them and he did!

Short lead time for consultation. Short lead time for appt and for surgery. Efficient and helpful staff . Dr Brugger is pleasant and does a great job of providing accurate complete information. It went smoothly and didn't drag out for months. It was a good overall experience and the the results are great. Thanks!
