Pain is worse than before surgery
I am glad others had a positive experience. Office personnel were very professional except for one. My bunion and hammer toe procedure was almost two years ago in November. My foot pain is worse than before surgery. I hope you all had or will have a more positive outcome.

Personal Success
I had a sepsis infection in my toe which traveled to my kidney. The team of doctors suggested that I have a amputation of my foot and maybe more. Dr. Feibel insisted that only two toes should be amputated and use a wound vac. It worked. My foot healed and I'm up and walking. Doctor Feibel stood his ground and I'm excited about my future..

Amazing! I was told by other doctors at the hospital that my foot would have to be amputated but Dr Feibel said he could save it and even help me walk normal. The wound is healed. I am doing PT. This is a characteristic so hard to find these days. I highly recommend Dr. Feibel and his practice. He saved my foot!!

Avoided surgery
I saw Dr. Feibel several years ago after falling down my basement stairs and breaking all 5 bones in the top of my foot. Another doctor had suggested surgery. After looking at the X-ray Dr. Feibel told me that he did not think surgery was necessary and that the bones would heal properly with a cast. He could have made more money if he had performed surgery but I’m so glad I took his advice. My foot healed fine. I’ve not had any lasting problems. Dr. Feibel’s “bedside manner” is wonderful. So compassionate and still professional. Always made me feel like I was the patient he would be seeing that day.

He saved my toes as of now at least
While mowing I fell and my foot slipped under the back of the push mowing causing severe damage to my toes including at least 7 broken bones. Being only 36, I was worried about the long term impact and that I would lose a few of my toes. The doctor in Trauma was messaging Dr Feibel on his day off and he ended up coming in to do the surgery that day. They were pretty sure going into surgery that they were going to have to amputate 2-3 of my toes but he was able to clean them out, stitch them up and save them. So far there is no sign of infection and they seem to be healing well.

Excellent surgeon!
Dr Feibel has been my orthopedic physician for over 10 years…. His bedside manner is fabulous and expertise of feet is premier ! I will never allow another surgeon to touch my feet. You see, I had surgery March 22, 2023 to remove a mass off my left foot which came back benign. The procedure recovery period had little pain, if any! I felt as if he had sprinkled fairy dust over me upon awakening. Please use Dr Feibel for all of your foot needs. He is a respectable surgeon! Dr Feibel always wears a smile as well. He brightens my day!!

Dr. Feibel and his P.A.
I would make appointments to see Dr. Feibel and would end up with his P.A. I had been going to him since 2009. My last visit was not very good. I was put into a boot for months because I fractured my leg. I didn’t know I fractured my leg. I went to see him for foot pain. I was finally taken out of the boot and I was put into a brace that caused a fracture on the side of my foot. When I went back to tell them about the pain brought on by the brace I was told I had to wear it. Later I was put into a boot again for two months. Nothing was suggested much as far as treatment to help the foot pain I was experiencing in my foot except injections I asked for, which helped some for a short duration. The P.A. lied to me twice about treatment. Since that time I found a new orthopedic surgeon and he show me a X-ray of my foot and the fracture that wasn’t ever going to heal without doing surgery. I’m now on my way to a successful recovery and glad I left Feibel. I should have left much sooner.

Great Physician
I went to see Dr. Feibel for a second opinion. I had a foot fusion and bunionectomy about 10 months ago and was having continued pain. He found the root cause of the pain and had me in for repeat surgery within a couple weeks. My original surgeon had stated it was all normal pain I was experiencing, but it was a hardware issue. I was extremely happy with the care of Dr. Feibel and his staff. I am still early in the healing process but can already feel a difference. I would absolutely recommend him for any major foot surgery.

He's Basically Chur-ning
If you want someone who will shake your hand and make you feel warm inside, Feibel is your man, he's a world-class glad-hander. But if you want a surgeon who is invested in your health, look elsewhere. Some of Dr. Feibels most successful surgeries have a 20% chance of non-union (when bones dont heal properly after surgery). Thats 1 in 5 of his patients with delayed healing after an operation. But does he start any of his patients on pre-op bone supplements (Vit D and magnesium) to help avoid this? No. Does he start supplements post-operatively? No. Only when someone has had several follow up visits to confirm delayed healing has already occurred might he mention vitamins can improve the healing process. He does this because its in his best financial interest to maintain a low level of non-unions.

I came to Dr. Feibel's office with a complaint about my third toe. The doctor indicated he could relieve the problem surgically but said this would also require a procedure on my second toe. He also recommended fusing a joint in a big toe because he detected arthritis in one of the toe's joints. Sixteen months after the operation my original concern remains an issue and the fused joint has impacted my walking. All three toes are sensitive to contact with a shoe. The doctor recommended a revision during a tense meeting 120 days post-op but I declined allowing him a second attempt. I've since sought two additional opinions, both physicians believed surgery was necessary to determine why the original procedure failed.

After putting up with years of pain caused by bone spurs in my ankle, I met with Dr. Feibel to explore what options I had available to relieve the pain. After initially trying a cortisone injection (without relief), I chose to move forward with ankle fusion surgery. Complicating my surgery and recovery was the fact I’m a Type 2 Diabetic. With encouragement from Dr. Feibel, I’ve been able to get (and keep) my A1C level below 7.0 and I’m happy to report that after overcoming those self-inflicted obstacles (diabetes) and due to the skill of Dr. Feibel and his PAs (Natalie and Lacie), I’m doing very well now and well on the road to total recovery. Beyond Dr. Feibel’s surgical skills is his true caring of this patients. I’ve never had a doctor who expressed such care, commitment and dedication to his patients. He gave me his personal cell phone number in case I had any issues/concerns and followed up with me by phone after surgeries- even while he was on vacation!
