Rushed, no time or care for children
Dr Powell is always rushed not sympathetic towards kids. He is always rushed and makes you feel like you are wasting his time. This has happened twice. We will never take our kids to him.

Sanders Court Pediatrics is wonderful and Dr. Powell is a very kind and compassionate doctor. My daughter has Autism and he is absolutely wonderful with her and talks to her respectfully and always explains things to her as we are having visits. I have had all three of my children see him. He does excellent high school screenings as kids start freshman year where he addressed everything from diet/ exercise , to peer pressure, grades and drug/alcohol awareness. I highly recommended him. We LOVE Dr. Powell! We’ve been seeing his practice for 4 years, and every time we see him, we leave feeling so reassured. It’s very clear how much he loves his job and how knowledgeable he is, and he always takes the time to ask if we have any questions. He thoroughly addresses any concerns we may have, and he always ends every visit with “he looks great, Mom, awesome job.” So reassuring and eases any and all concerns; we love him!

I have been going to this practice for 11 years and never had a bad experience until today when we met Dr. Powell. He talked down to me and loudly almost like he was yelling and I like there was no reason for me to bring my daughter to see him. I was very concerned about my daughter's issue. He was in the room for less than 5 minutes and made it seem like we were a bother to him. He is arrogant. I will continue going to the practice but will not let this doctor anywhere near my daughter!

I took my son and meeting him for the first time. After researching my son’s condition online as well as speaking with my physician peers I was told to have screening done to rule out underlying pathology. This doc spent less than 2 min with us and determined that since it doesn’t hurt or itch no further work up needed. He admitted he’d never seen this before but refuses to discuss further and brushes me off. He’s not competent nor cares to hear your concerns without being condescending

Very arrogant, and just plain unfriendly. My 2 year was crying loud and he was so harsh, I had stop his check in between. I will never recommend him to anyone. Worst doctor ever.

I am a first time Mom and have been dealing with insecurities and fears after the birth of my newborn. Dr. Powell puts me at ease every time I see him. I can't say a negative thing about him. I prefer to deal with confident and matter of fact people in general. I interviewed with him before choosing a Dr. My husband couldn't make that appointment. After reading some negative reviews I still wanted my husband to meet him. After our son's 1st appointment, we agreed that he was the right fit

Snide, arrogant, and just plain unfriendly. He acts as if you're wasting his time by asking questions. Some people may like the cockiness and straight forward mentality, but I do not. I also do not like being talked down to

Dr. Powell is fantastic! We have seen a few different pediatricians and he is by far the best to date! His love and passion for what he does just radiates when he is in the room with the children. We could not be happier to have him as our pediatrician.
