Initially, I had issues with him just trying to get MRIs of my spine (mind you, I am a degenerative scoliosis patient that has already had 3 back surgeries) but the insurance denied me due to his notes only stating that I had back pain from a motor vehicle accident. I had to make a fuss so that they would correct the notes and submit it again. Well, fast forward to after the MRIs are done and I'm on my way to Little Rock from Heber Springs for my follow up appointment (they are aware that I travel from Heber because I normally see him in the Heber location), I called at 2:58 stating that I had gotten caught up in traffic and was going to be a little late. They informed me that my appointment was 5 minutes earlier than I had thought it was but said ok and that was the end of the call. Well, when I arrived, they refused to see me and then turned around and put in my after visit summary that I did not call to let them know I was going to be late and that they had called me prior that day to tell me that it was imperative that I was prompt due to Reding having to leave early. I did call them and they NEVER called and told me those things…they didn't even tell me when I called them! What HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL lies on a patient? Terrible service and completely unprofessional! I would not recommend seeing this doctor at all!

Amazing to say the least.
My husband had a decompression & fusion Sx on 5.9.24. The results so far have been miraculous. So much so, after his Sx he was emotional, realizing he didn’t feel the pain he had previously felt. Let me start from the beginning. He realized 3-4 years ago he had something wrong with his cervical spine. At first he thought the muscles. Went to a chiropractor - after seeing my husband’s debilitation he couldn’t treat him. Pain management next. Been doing that for several years. Did injections - PT - around the clock pain meds. Nothing helped & it just got worse. Was referred to a neurosurgeon that will remain unnamed. This man & his team of office girls couldn’t even get my husband’s MRI done successfully. Fast forward 6 mos after dealing with all of that. I told my husband to get a referral to Dr Reding. He had his 1st appt on a Th - the following M an MRI & less than 2 wks later his Sx after a peer2peer with BCBS by Dr Reding. He & his whole team are amazing. TYVM

Bad Luck of the Draw
He was the doctor on call when I went to Baptist ER and it was found I had a brain tumor; thankful benign. Obviously, in shock, I wanted more information and scheduled an office visit with Dr. Reding. His manner was horrible; he treated me as wasting his time with my questions. After that visit I had two re-checks and each visit he made some snide remark. My last visit I decided I would not return to him due to his remark of "I tried to make it bigger." What the heck is that supposed to mean? Is it because of the changes I told your nurse, which she asked if I've had any since my last visit; are you making fun of me?? I don't know if the changes are related to the tumor and he sure didn't assure me otherwise. My health is not a joke!

One of the best, if not The Best!
Dr. Reding came highly recommended when I was looking for a surgeon. I couldn't have selected a better surgeon. I have had cronic pain in my lower left back with pain radiating down my left leg to my foot for about 6 - 7 years. I hurt 24/7. It never would go away. In the last 3 years this pain has continually intensified. I've been frightened of back surgery so I put it off for as long as possible. I tried to manage the pain with opioids, injections and ablations. I was taking 30mg of opioids a day, sometimes 40mg. It was ruining my life. I became inactive and struggled to walk, sit, lift or do anything. The pain kept me exhausted. I can't explain my excitement and joy I had from the moment I woke from surgery. The pain was gone, all of it. I am now totally off the opioids that I've been on for years. I am clear headed and getting back to a normal life. I'm excited and could not be more pleased. Dr. Reding has been a true blessing for me!

Overall, i was very satisfied. He was easy to establish a rapport with. After MRI, subsequent further personal exam by Dr. Reding, he determined that I needed a hemi-laminectomy, on the right side of the L3-4. Operation went well, recovery was smooth, and discomfort was alleviated. Following the procedure, I experienced no pain and did not use the prescribed pain meds.

A car accident caused me to be an emergent patient. Dr. Reding had terrible bedside manner from the beginning. He was very difficult to find & speak to. It always seemed as if we were bothering him if we had questions. I was still in a great deal of pain after being released from wearing a brace post-op. When I called to address the issue, his office told me that it would hurt & they would see me at me at my 6 month follow up. He dismissed it. 2 years of pain later, a surgery shows failed fusion

I was very pleased with Dr. Reding, he is very professional, but at the same time a person. This is hard to find in most Doctor's. He took the time to listen and answer questions about my condition and treatment, both in his office and after surgery. He has a great bedside manner. Thank you to you and your staff, all were very helpful, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and caring.

Dr. Reding did a cervical fusion on me after a horrific railroad incident that left my neck fractured. I had lost half the strength in my right arm. Its been 7 months after surgery now and my strength is back! I feel great and my range of motion is great now with minimal pain! I highly recommend Dr. Reding for all your neurosurgery needs! Dr. Reding would also spend time with me and was never in a rush during my appointments.

My experience has been exceptional. Immediately after surgery the pain I had been enduring for months was relieved. Dr Reding is kind, understanding, personable & extremely skilled. He has wonderful office staff & his nurses, Rachael & Kaleigh are second to none. As much as possible, everyone got my needs addressed quickly. This is one of the very best physician & office encounter I've experienced.

Dr. Reding is a wonderful doctor. He's kind and patient. I was very nervous about my procedure as it was a first for me. He took time to visit and answer any last minute questions before surgery. Upon leaving he also asked if he could pray for me and the guidance of his team. That meant a lot to me and calmed my fears as well. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!!!

My PCP referred me to Dr. Reding. I didn't know him or anything about him. I met with him a few times before surgery. This was my first back surgery. I had it Jan. 5, 2017. He took time to explain the procedure and answered all of my questions. He was not in a big hurry like most doctors. His nurse, Rachel, was great! The day of surgery, he came in pre-op and asked if he could pray with me. That meant a lot to me. This was reassuring. Surgery was a great success. It's August, still doing great!
