Dr. Jorge Carmona Rodriguez, MD

I am about to meet Dr. Carmona about a recommended surgery to repair a hiatal hernia. Appointment-making went well. So far, so good. Will report more as time goes on...Met Dr. Carmona today, and his staff is effective and helpful. Dr. Carmona patiently answered all my questions and explained the procedure, as well as recovery and how my life will change due to the surgery. He also explained the risks involved and what my other doctor would be in charge of, which is the second part of the surgery. He showed he understood about my family's trepidations since I am on the elderly side--68. So far, so good. Will report more as time goes on...Met again with Dr. Carmona who answered all my questions, even those that might be silly. He spent enough time with me, and I feel ready for my surgery, which is set for 5Jun. It was originally set for 17Apr, but I had a 4-week trip planned. He was correct advisi ng I'd be recovered in time.

I have met with Dr. Carmona twice. My first meeting with him was extensive and full of my questions from 'How many of these have you done?' to 'How will my life change after hiatal hernia surgery? '. He spent about 30 minutes with me explaining all. He is blessed with much talent and I trust him implicitly. My surgery is in two days. More later...

Surgery went with no problems. Very satisfied with the rrsults.

I went to urgent care for body aches, fever, chills, & pain in the abdomen. Ct scan showed a “twisted intestine” so I was transferred to the hospital. When I finally met the Dr., I learned that he had quite an easy time discrediting the urgent care staff that saw me first. He argued their complete incompetence. Despite these claims, he refused to review my CT scan images first hand and based a series of painful & unnecessary procedures off of their report even though I urged him to review them himself especially since he had them in his possession and since he just belittled the team that wrote the reports. It was only after a second CT scan that he concluded the diagnosis was erroneous and not at all related to the bowels. His approach to my health condition and his responses to my condition were nothing short of perfunctory. His condescending responses to my sincere questions were seemingly due in part to either apathy, negligence or ineptness. Worst experience ever!
