Poor visit
Met with Dr first time new patient to discuss results of prior ER visit and testing done at hospital. I waited over an HOUR for doctor and he walked in no apology and was very quick obviously could care less and basically dismissed me after 5 min. Told him what additional test I wanted and it was ordered. Used a stethoscope on me while I’m wearing a sweater and thick coat. Never in my life has a stethoscope been used without touching my skin or through a gown. The staff was very kind but extremely disappointed in the quality of care I received. As I exit the office, the lights are out as it’s end of day after 5 pm.

Terrible! Both times that I saw him, I felt rushed. After he did stress tests, he said that they were fine and that I did not need to see him for a year. However, my symptoms were totally disregarded. Another Dr. ordered an additional test that showed artery problems. I needed a heart artery stent!

Dr. Christiana is the cardiologist for my partner, Dennis Caro and my good friend Eugene Gregan, who both highly recommended him to me when got a referral for a cardiologist. He is a very knowledgeable and nice person and I would trust him implicitly. I had my first visit last week and it was a pleasure.

Office was crowded and COVID protocols not followed. My exam felt very rushed and many tests were ordered and not explained at all. I did not feel comfortable or listened to. I cancelled my testing appointments and will be looking for another cardiologist.

I have been a patient of his for the past 19 years and have always been impressed with his demeanor and depth of knowledge. He always gives his patients all the time they need to ask questions and provide clear understandable answers. I've never felt rushed even when he was running late.

Unfortunately, in these times of COVID-19 outbreaks nearby, Dr. Christiana's office was in blatant violation of safety standards. Within 5 feet of 3 NUVANCE signs on the wall next to the receptionist window saying: 1. Always wear your mask. 2. Be sure to also cover your nose. 3. Do not take your mask off to talk. Within full view of any and all patients in the waiting room a medical person in red scrubs without a mask waltzed in, talked animatedly with the 2 mask wearing people at desks in the office, and then hugged for quite a while a fourth non-mask wearing individual who stepped into the office. The receptionist then took her mask off to talk on the phone. Insane ...!!!! Also, when converting to NUVANCE's computer system they lost contact with all information about the previous procedures that lead up to my being there.

Dr. Christiana is excellent, including his demeanor and explanations. His prescription mechanism appears to be flawed. Other MDs Rx get to my pharmacist so fast, the pharmacy is calling me. 3 months ago and 2 weeks ago, I watched him send my Rx's to the pharmacy ... as months before ... they said they did not have them. As before, I am going to have to call the nurse *two more times before it is resolved. As an MD Dr C gets 5 stars, but his office logistics, including his phone robo-answering services, is 1 star.

The staff is TERRIBLE!!! You NEVER get return calls. I was placed on hold by 2 people for over 10 minutes just to make an appointment. I went in to the office to get a prescription updated because my calls were never returned, I was told it would be done and it NEVER WAS!! The doctors need to get rid of whoever takes care of these things and start over.

We never felt "rushed" through an appointment with Dr. Christiana. He took all of our questions seriously. He explained all of his thought thoroughly and we never felt that he was talking down to us. He was extremely patient. We had a tremendous sense of confidence in his knowledge and the care our daughter received from him. Highly recommended.
