I COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY TO CHOSE DR FERNANDEZ AS MY ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR AFTER I HAD SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE SINCE MY FIRST CONTACT WITH THE OFFICE TO REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT. CARLA TOOK CARE OF MY REQUEST WITH GREAT KINDNESS AND WAS ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME IN A WAITING LIST. TWO DAYS LATER SHE CALLED ME TO ADVISE SHE WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM AN EARLY APPOINTMENT. THE NURSE THAT TOOK THE XR AND ROBERT THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT WERE SO UNBELIEVABLE TENDER AND LOVING. THEY BOTH SHOWED THEIR CONCERNS TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. FINALLY DR FERNANDEZ WAS AMAZING. HE TOOK ENOUGH TIME TO REVIEW MY MEDICAL REPORTS, TO EXPLAIN TO ME THE BEST CHOICES I HAD, EVEN GOING TO INTERNET TO SHOW ME PICTURES SO I COULD UNDERSTAND HIS EXPLANATION. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR FERNANDEZ.

I have been seen by Dr. Joseph Fernandez for years now. Dr. Fernandez is an excellent doctor and both of his Physician Assistants are very knowledgeable, well mannered and able to take care of your health. His staff is also kind and attentive. I have had four surgeries with Dr. Fernandez, all have been a success. I appreciate and have only gratitude for this Orthopedic group, who has shown me all kind of respect, honesty and diligent care. The entire experience of my visit to Dr. Fernandez' office was excellent. The call for my appointment was attended to quickly and was friendly and accommodating. The wait time was short and I was seen right away by a nurse. Dr. Fernandez came in right afterward with a PA, Mr. Myers. They both discussed my injury with me and what the next steps would be. I was very satisfied with their bedside manner, expertise and friendliness. I recommend them highly.

The worst appointment setter and the Doctor has the worts bedside manners... the Dr just sits and stares at you while he has his PA write everything he prescribed a medication that the PA neglected to hear what he said. That I had to remind him that doctor prescribed a medicine...I called back to see the Doctor after a lump came out on my knee they give me an appointment for a month later with the Doctor if not I need to see the PA take it or leave it... I need a Doctor not a PA...

I took my daughter who is a dancer to Dr. Fernandez. He recommended surgery due to her injury and I must say we could not be happier with the results. My daughter is still doing rehab and they have been there for us answering all questions along the way. Thank you Dr. Fernandez and staff!

Terrible experience! I felt like I was in an assembly line. The majority of my time during visits was spent with his physician's assistant. I was scheduled for a minesectemy surgery of my knee, yet during the surgery he also do a microfracture surgery without my consent, Prior to the surgery he had never mentioned that this was an option. Microfracture surgery is a very aggressive procedure and the success rate is not very high. Mine was a failure and my knee will never heal.

great dr , the staff was very nice whenever i call with a billing question i always get an accurate and prompt response. i would suggest to everyone who reads this and needs an orthopedic surgeon call dr Fernandez

Did not even get past the scheduling to see the doctor. After being basically reprimanded because I did not know what information I needed when I called in. Even after I stopped her in her rant and asked her to please realize that while she may do this every day, I do not need surgery or make appointments to have one on a daily bases she continued to be rude. But hey its a "Miami" thing right? Well doc maybe spend a little money on your staff and staff training. I will find someone else.

The staff is very rude!
