Fantastic doctor
Very patient, empathetic, knowledgeable, gave great amount of time to hear about my situation. I recommend him to anyone I know that needs treatment. Gave advice on next step for recovery.

Went to Dr Hartigan for random foot pain I was having in both feet. My physical therapist was recommending custom insoles and she had written a letter for Dr Hartigan to read, where she was recommending those custom insoles. He didn't read the letter. Instead he listened to my symptoms and when I asked him what he thought was going on he said "I don't know." Instead he prescribed me special lace-up BRACES to wear. I tried the braces for a few weeks and while they helped a bit, my problems continued and spread to my achilles heels. My PT again wrote a letter saying that I would probably respond best to custom insoles and Dr Hartigan again DID NOT READ THE LETTER and instead gave me a BOOT to wear at night and some naproxen. I finally met with a new podiatrist who gave me custom insoles and within a few weeks my feet were back to normal and I was walking fine. I don't know why Dr Hartigan didn't listen to me or my PT but I'm never going back to him again.

I had a very painful ingrown toenail. My previous podiatrist told me to stop wearing high heels, which I don't do! Dr. Hartigan performed some minor surgery that required a few follow up appointments, and I'm feeling so much better. He has a pleasant demeanor, and a light touch. I liked him quite a bit.

I have been seeing Dr Hartigan for over 15 years. He is a great podiatrist. Unlke other doctors he doesn't quickly rush into expensive treatments. He spends enough time with the patient and is quite caring. I would highly recommend him. His staff is really good. It was better when he wasn't part of Brigham and Woman's hospital. The hospital and it's beaurocracy is annoying.

Terrible! Saw him for 15 minutes. Was referred to him for my knees but he focused on my Achilles-- which was already diagnosed and being treated. Tried to tell him about my knees but he was dismissive and condescending. I will NEVER see this man again.
