Excellence in all areas & his staff
I have had cervical ESI’s, 2 X’s 4 years apart. I had a weird painful flare up in my neck, and I called to get another injection. He was on vacation but his staff emailed him and they called in prednisone pack, that literally saved me. I was locked in a spasm & couldn’t use my arms. When my day came to get another cervical ESI, it was absolutely pain free! I was so relieved and so grateful knowing I’m in the best hands. Thank you to Dr Walker & his very effective staff. The most painful horrible experience of my life
Dr. Walker administered epidural injections to my spine twice. The first time there was some discomfort. The second time, something went HORRIBLY wrong and I was begging him to stop. Even after he stopped administering the steroids, the pain persisted. I was screaming so loud that I was losing my voice. They gave me one dose of pain medication and shoved me into the car while I was still crying. I wouldn't bring my dog to this hospital.

I have had 4 injections in my back done with other doctors and by far the two I have had with Dr. Walker have been the least painful. He is very professional and the staff was amazing. It was as pleasant an experience as an injection can be.

I have been delighted with communication and treatment with Dr. Walker and the office staff. They are very kind and efficient. Secretary Jody always follows through in a very timely manner when checking insurance coverage and being sure to get back to me immediately. Dr. Walker is open to direct communication regarding pain and treatments. He was willing to support me in trying acupuncture for accepting injections or surgery. The acupuncture has been working well for me.

I asked if he had looked at any of my MRI's. He said, Well I can pull it up right here. He told me I did have several hemangioma on my spine and even one on my kidney. I didn't have any on my spine on my last MRI. I Asked him about the anomaly near my spine, he said he didn't see that and however said that was wrong. Then he proceeded to push really hard in the area were my make believe anomaly was. I told him he was really hurting me. I was in pain for 3 days after. Very poor Doctor.

Outstanding diagnostician. I suffered from severe myofacial pain in the thoracic area of the back. A year of treatments (massage, PT, spine blocks, cortisone shots, spinal manipulation) produced no relief. A month of neurofunctional accupuncture treatments and excellent "active" physical therapy at UCONN (with great coordination between Dr. Walker and an excellent physical therapist) resulted in the complete elimination of pain. An excellent physician; great coordinated care.

I went in for lower back pain. Dr. Walker gave me an injection for pain. During the process he inverted the needle for the medicine and him to stop because I felt something sharp like. He said it was the medicine and wouldn't stop. They put me in a chair I was violently shaking and was in so much pain I couldn't walk. The nurse that was there told me and my husband to go straight to the emergency room. We went my belly blew up and they had to catheterize me. Now I have a pacemaker for my bladder
