Outstanding doctor
Dr. Watkins was my neurologist after I had a massive stroke. I saw Dr. Watkins every three months for over eight years - probably over twenty five visits. He answered every question and every followup question very clearly. He always did an exam and asked many questions. I've seen a lot doctors since the stroke and it's easy to which doctors care. In my experience, Dr. Watkins cared about me as a patient and as a person.

Joseph Reed Watkins MD Draper UT office. I have seen Dr. Watkins on three separate occasions. I don’t understand all the negative ratings. I am a professional and found Dr. Watkins to be the same. Extremely knowledgeable in Neurology. He did a very through examination, ordered a spinal MRI, and nerve conduction studies. He found the cause to my problem. Based on his exam, testing and MRI he properly referred me to a Neurosurgeon and I am scheduled for surgery. Thank you Dr. Watkins, and your PA

Just got off the phone with my wife. Very upset about her treatment by the office staff. If your looking to be belittled, talked down to, or treated like your a drug addict doctor shopping, this is the place for you. Dr Watkins needs to do a staff check before they run off all of his patients. The younger office girl, (not sure of her name) is so rude she should be fired. We won't be going back and suggest you shop around before picking this office and the rude staff.

I just got off the phone with my wife who is very upset with the treatment she got from your staff. If I could rate it lower I would. She has a disease that she needs pain medication to help through out the day and to sleep at night. She is supposed to take two pills a day and only takes one. She missed her appt. last week because she had to work. She rescheduled but went in today and was treated like an addict drug shopping. She said she was never coming back. That person should be fired.

PA and Medical Assistant were very kind and helpful, answering questions and taking their time with you. The Dr does not speak coherently, and does not make sense when explaining treatment plans and dosing instructions for meds. When calling, it is difficult to get through to a human being, and when you do, the receptionist isn't very friendly or courteous. If you have to wait for the Dr or Medical Assistant to call you back, it will most likely never happen.

I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes to see Dr. Watkins. My longest wait ever to see a doctor. When I complained about the wait he and his staff made all sorts of lame excuses. Then he bills me seven months later. I would never recommend Dr. Watkins to anybody.

Dr. Watkins did very minimal testing for neurological conditions and then referred me to the university of Utah, saying he was out of ideas. I asked for specific testing for a condition it's pretty likely I have, and he said it was ruled out, though I've been reading about it for months and know we haven't even done the tests it would take to diagnose. They schedule you out a month for anything, major or minor, and his nurse practitioner texts and the doctor text through appontment. Worst ever.

Long wait times with no explanation nor heads up. 60+ minutes to get out of the waiting room isn't acceptable, and only makes it worse when the office staff doesn't offer an estimate as to when you'll be seen. Clearly my time is not as important as his.
