Amazing Doctor
Fourteen years ago, I found out I had a tumor behind my eye. No doctor in town wanted to treat me and I was referred to an university center in another city, which was extremely inconvenient for the family. Fortunately, my primary doctor found Dr. Wehman who made us feel very confident about the complex surgical process required to remove the tumor. The surgery was totally successful, and my recovery was incredible without any neurological consequences. After all these years, I continue to visit Dr. Wehman for annual follow-ups and everything continues to be excellent. I have no words to thank him for his ability, professionalism and quality as a human being. A genius doctor. May God bless you always.

I am going to say that Dr. J.C. Wehman M.D. is the best surgeon. On September 10, 2020 I had a bad slip and very hard fall fractured L-3 severely herniated L3 and L4 they had been fused together in February 08, 2021 at O.R.M.C. Very painful, but very well worth the discomfort my back is doing much better now, now i still have a bulge at T12 and L1. Next is my neck C4 and C5. All things considered Dr.Wehman does exactly what He said, also what to do and not to do after surgery. Yes I would recommend him highly for any neurological surgery to anyone in need.??

Excellent Surgeon and Great Care
I’ve been seeing Dr. Wehman for 3 1/2 years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. He successfully removed the tumor and treated me for a brain fluid leak and spinal stenosis. He is very personable and highly skilled. I’m so thankful for him.

I was referred to Dr Wehman by a neurologist. His staff is great and got me in pretty quickly even though he has a busy surgical schedule. He reviewed my MRI and explained cow the compression on my spinal cord was causing a number of symptoms. He did a 3 level cervical spinal fusion for me last October (2019) with excellent results. Followed his instructions to the letter. He is an excellent surgeon, whose sole interest is helping his patients. In my several follow up visits I talked to other patients, all of whom were also thrilled with their results and recovery. I highly recommend him.

Dr Wehman did a cervical spinal fusion for me in August of 2016. He is an excellent doctor and surgeon, kind and caring. He is pretty easy to get in to see, but has a rather busy surgical schedule. Not only would I recommend him, I have an appt to see him with another issue next week. I pray he is able to give me as much relief this time as he did last year.

Words simply cannot describe how grateful I am for Dr. Wehman's professionalism, his skill and knowledge and his outright dedication to his profession. I got lucky when he was assigned to my case at ORMC...I am ever so thankful. He saved my life, and has worked on my case for more than 6 years now. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Bad doc. Very aloof and barely looked at films. Missed AAI, CCI, and now I have permanent neural injury because of it. Told me I was having atypical seizures. He seemed lazy and disengaged, spent a good 10 minutes talking crap about another neurosurgeon I saw. Turns out that guy was right. Wasted 2 years having seizure studies and $160,000 later BCBS will not be pleased.

Had to have surgery done. Neck very bad. Needed four spacers and a plate to hold in place. Had bad neck and head pain before surgery. I have a lump in the back of my neck which the surgeon SAID is bone. DID NOT HAVE IT BEFORE SURGERY. Still have severe pain. The surgeon said it is because my neck lost 1 to 11/2 inches. Further said it would get better over time. Had surgery done 8 months ago relief with no relief. BE AWARE.

I was definitely lucky to find this remarkable, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. I did a thorough research and compared him to numerous neurosurgeons. I've also had a number of consultations, but on the first visit with him, I've agreed to have him operated on my brain tumor. I was at ease and felt very comfortable with his approach and the way he assured me that he will do his best to ensure my safety. I will definitely recommend Dr. Joseph Wehman also a special Thank You to AMY.

Office staff was very unprofessional and rude. I would recommend staff training on etiquette and how to treat patients because this type of behavior can deter new and old patients from returning. Dr. Wehman is very good and seems to care about his patients. He is knowledgeable as well as punctual. His assistant was good as well.
