Dr. Juan Perez, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Perez for almost twenty years. He is a well informed and attentive doctor. He listens carefully to my concerns. I have never felt rushed when he is seeing me. He allows me time to proceed at my own pace.Recently, Dr. Perez was able to identify some critical markers in my blood work and referred me to the appropriate specialists. Dr. Perez's office staff have always been timely in their responses and professional in their interactions with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Perez as your primary physician. JS

Dr. Perez himself is wonderful, but his PA is a terrible human being. Heartless, unprofessional, unfit to practice medicine. Has ruined this whole practice for my family.

Dr. Perez asks questions, explains clearly, and is knowledgeable. I have never had to wait long to be called. Patient for 5 years.The previous patient who complained about being billed must have owed the money. He doesn't deny it.

First I went teledoc, then urgent care, neither helped. Dr. Perez is the one who quickly diagnosed me and gave me the medicine that I needed. He got me in the same day. Couldn't have asked for more.

Dr. Perez is an experienced and caring doctor. The problem is his front office staff. It’s too difficult to book appointments or ask for help. There are five employees who hide in the back offices. It’s also frustrating because they don’t answer the telephone. If Dr. Perez wasn’t a great doctor, I would have switched doctors a long time ago.

After several phone calls I’m unable to get anyone to answer the phone. I received a bill over a week ago and I can’t even speak to someone about payment. I’m assuming the lady that supposedly works from home ain’t working LOL.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Juan Perez for 14 years. During this entire time to today we have not had an issue with Dr. Perez nor his staff. He has always been on top of his diagnostics and has referred us to great specialists when needed. And while performing his doctor's duties, he treats us with kindness, courtesy and is patient when addressing our questions and concerns. We have never had an issue with billing or scheduling appointments. We highly and confidently recommend Dr. Perez and his team, including NP Sylvia Martinez and NP Jose!

I have been a patient of his for more than 15 years and today they would not see me unless I paid 165.00 dollars for a supposed bill from 2012/2013. I paid the bill and told his rude office manager that I would find a new Dr. I also asked her if my balance was taken care of and she said I had also another pending charge from this year that my insurance had not yet covered. I told her I have not seen you guys but my father did in January a month before he died who was also a patient for 5 years. My mother was a patient of theirs until she passed along with my wife daughter and son plus several relatives.They have about 15 other patients that are either friends or family members because I recommended them and spoke so highly of them. It sucks to have to find a new Dr after so many year and I am sure they could care less. What they will care about will be an exodus of patients when I speak I’ll of them to their current patients whom I recommended.

The staff NEVER answers the phone. Voicemails go unreturned. It is impossible to make an appointment even if you are an established patient. Extremely unprofessional.

I have been going to Dr. Perez for a little less than a year and I have nothing but praise for him and Sylvia, his nurse practitioner. All the girls from this office are very nice, but the best thing of all is the very short wait to see the doctor!!

They NEVER answer the phone. I've been calling all day to try and get an appointment, Guess I won't be going there.

I have always considered Dr Perez to be an exemplary Physician, allow me to raise my rating to above and beyond exemplary. I have been a patient of his for many years, he is thoroughly familiar with my history and lifestyle. This year I presented with some paresthesia. I was certain it was diabetes. He ordered a B12 test and sure enough, I was in the lower range of normal. Easy enough to fix. Obviously Dr. Perez is extremely well read and has a wealth of experience to draw from. AND..I have never waited more than a minute or two to see this busy Physician. Thanks Dr. Perez, I know my health is in good hands

Dr. Pérez wanted me to get a blood test. While my insurance is a county based company he sent me to a private lab. The lab charged me $1530.10 for the blood test while it would have been free if he sent me to the county hospital which is across the street from his office. I called his office and after a long hold time, and a the clerk saying it was my responsibility, she then hung up on me. If they accepted my insurance card and charged me the correct co-pay, they should have known and not put it as it was my responsibility. I wonder why he sent me to what seems as the most expensive lab. This is why the medical care in the USA is in such bad shape.

Avoid this doctor. He doesn't listen to patients instead spends time typing on laptop. Nurse practitioner is rude and condescending.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Perez since he opened his office in El Paso. He and Sylvia are great. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my family medicine needs.

Well so far not a good one. I have been calling for the past 3 days and no answer. No one has bothered to return my calls. After reading the reviews about office staff being so rude I understand now. Guess they really don't care.

Dr. Perez's annual physical exam is a joke, spends about 5 minutes entering data in the computer concerning questions the patient answered on paper. Never once does this doctor ask if you have any health concerns, questions, problems, etc. Worse than the doctor is his office staff, no people skills, no concern for the patient, just process paperwork .... if they lose patients due to poor service, they don't care. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

Dr. Perez is the Best Dr. ever! If not for him & his expertise, I would never have had my baby boy. I suffered from secondary infertility for many years and every Dr. I went to never thought to check my thyroid. Dr. Perez was the only Dr. who diagnosed me & after 17 years, I had my baby. If you want a Dr. who knows what he's doing & listens to YOU then this is your Dr. There is one lady who works at front desk who isn't friendly but don't let that keep you from seeing the best Dr. in El Paso.

My wife and I both have been going to Dr. Perez for several years now. I find him to be very professional, considerate, and kind. Would not hesitate to recommend him as a family physician.

Dr. Pérez has been caring for my parents for over 5 years now. He is patient, listens to them, and treats them with great respect and care. He takes his time explaining and making sure my parents understand. Truly appreicate him, My parents are aging and it's a great relive knowing they're in hands.
