Cannot treat CAH despite claims
She has good book smarts and attitude, that's where the 2 stars comes from. Although she has written advanced papers on Adrenal Hyperplasia, she is not comfortable treating complex issues that arise due to CAH. She would not prescribe any type of hormonal medication to help me with my symptoms. She agreed I needed the medication, but said prescribing it was beyond her experience. I was suffering greatly and gave months of my time and money to this office, receiving almost nothing in return. I think it's unfair that she can say she treats CAH and that patients pay her to do so, but I experienced the opposite. She could not find a single other doctor who specialized in CAH to help me, and she abandoned my case after that. How could she possibly be a specialist in CAH who knows no other doctors who treat it? I was very confused and upset by this experience.

Dynamic Young doctor
I saw Dr. Shah as a new patient yesterday and I came away very impressed! It was immediately apparent that she had reviewed my pertinent medical information before she set foot in the room. She was welcoming about questions I had about my diabetes, medications, and glucose level self testing in an unhurried way, and she reviewed my past test results with me and I got very good feedback and suggestions. I came away feeling like my diabetes care is in good hands. Friendly, competent, and knowledgeable, who engages you fully as a partner in managing your diabetes.
