Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Her tone and body language from the get go was judgmental and passive aggressive. When I began explaining my issues she even leaned back and put her hand on her head which comes across that she is not being attentive and does not care. She had a very unpleasant and rude looking face on while I was explaining my symptoms and history. She didn’t take my concerns seriously and made me feel dismissed. Also she does not seem to be very well educated in gynecological issues. This is the problem with obgyns these days they’re only well trained in obstetrics. Waste of my time.

Uncomfortable and dismissed
I expressed my concerns about my irregular period and she straight up told me “it’s because you’re overweight”. That made me feel degraded and very uncomfortable. I also expressed that I was only with female partners and she then asked me if I was Bisexual or lesbian (which is not her business) and should have been addressed in a more professional way.. for Example she could have told me “Are you or have you also been with male partners recently or in the past”. I was very uncomfortable and felt very dismissed. I will not be coming back to her.

I love Dr. Ashbeck. I have seen her for 16 years and she delivered both my children. She treats us like family, and has been a wonderful source of advice, support and comfort over the years. She is an excellent doctor and advisor.

Not a doctor to see if you or your loved one has a disability. My adult daughter with ASD had the misfortune of seeing Dr. Ashbeck. She was arrogant, condescending, and snippy. She didn't listen to a word my daughter/her patient said; then had the nerve to label her patient's tears as "inappropriate behavior" in her notes. Don't waste your time with her.

I've been fortunate to have had Dr Karen Ashbeck since 2006. She is the most knowledgeable, friendly and simply the best in her field, in my experience. It is important for women to have OB/GYN care where they can feel 100% confident they would get the highest quality medical attention while also being treated with kindness and care. Karen is an excellent doctor and amazing human being.

Through my whole experience with my pregnancy, she was one of the main doctors that made me feel 100% comfortable and confident. I was hoping she was the one that delivered my baby. When that time came, she was there. The practice she works with rotates patients so they can get to know other Doctors since they rotate their on call doctors. She was amazingly calm and comforting when it came time for my c-section. I am very happy with her and her practice (womens healthcare associates), and will be happy to recommend her to everyone i know.

Dr. Ashbeck is the best OB/GYN physician I have encountered. She listens to my needs and provides a variety of solutions that we then talk through to determine which one is best for me. She takes a positive approach and makes my appointments as enjoyable as possible.
