Worst C/S Imaginable !!
When I moved to Florida, I needed to change my supplemental insurance. I was told by Human Dr Brainard / Bradenton East was highly rated and conveniently located. I put them as my primary on my policy. I should have known from the get go it was a mistake, but continued being a patient. My intake was done by a NP. Dr Brainard did not come to the intake for even 30 seconds to introduce herself and during my entire 1.5 year tenure never met her ! Every appointment was done by a NP or Nurse never a doctor ! When calling the office w a question or return call from doctor this is the VM on their system Return calls from office will take 48-72 hours and prescription refills 48 hours ! This is outrageous ! On multiple occasions I called office w a simple question and never got a return call ! There C/S is the worst imaginable ! Do not under any circumstances think it would be different for you !

Compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough
Dr. Brainard cares! That is an unusual statement for MDs today, who are overworked and in a pretty bad system. HOWEVER, Dr. Brainard is one physician that cares about your health and looks for evidence-based and innovative ways to help you improve your health. She has no attitude, gets right down to business and is reasonable and helpful in every way.

What brought me to Dr Brainard's care was her openness to alternative medicine. She listens, answers questions, and provides explanations. I trust her expertise. :)

I greatly appreciate Dr. Brainard's belief in combining the best of Western medicine with the best of Eastern medicine. I believe this will be the medicine of the future, and I'm thankful to be receiving it now! There is typically a bit of a wait to see her, but that's because she takes her time with every patient and is much in demand. For me, the quality of what I receive as a patient is worth the wait!

Dr Brainard made an error in prescriptions for my thyroid and hormones causing me to become ill for several months. I had severe hair loss and was lethargic for an ongoing period of time. Maybe as a general GP she'd be fine, but not for the thyroid and hormones.

There's usually a wait to see Dr. Brainard, both to get an appointment and to see her in office, but the care that she provides once you do see her is excellent. You can tell that she genuinely loves being a doctor, and taking care of her patients.

Dr. Brainard takes months to see for a new patient appointment and one to two for follow ups. (If you are ill others in the office can see you right away.) Wait times can be lengthy. That said I have never had a doctor so excellent before. She takes plenty of time with each patient (which is why she runs behind) and is best for those who want to manage chronic issues and achieve the best health they can. She helped me after many other docs couldn't.

Dr BRAINARD has been my doctor for 12 years.... I can't say enough good things about her. She has been compassionate and has even called me at home herself, after hours to follow up on my test results.... I would highly recommend her to anyone.
