If you are like me, the first time you visit Dr. Saunders you arrive as someone who has lost the battle with obesity and may feel utterly defeated. You will leave her office with a completely different outlook. She combines extraordinary scientific knowledge of the latest treatments with a unique ability to understand what it means to a patient to have obesity. For the first time in my life, she told me obesity was not my fault. She explained my metabolic and psychological profile and how she could help me. Unlike any other physician--she told me that if I had any difficulties (e.g. gaining a few pounds) that I should contact her ASAP (in the past I would have hidden that from my doctor). If you want to lose weight and keep it off for good---do whatever it takes to get an appointment with Dr. Saunders or her team--she is well worth the wait. For the first time in my life, I feel in control of my weight and have a good relationship with food.
