We recently had a concerning experience with Dr. Kathleen Harold, M.D. at the Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital. Our 12-year-old son was treated by Dr. Kathleen Harold, M.D., after he’d had days of high fever and a worsening cough. Given that some of his friends with similar symptoms were diagnosed with pneumonia, we specifically voiced concerns about this pneumonia possibility and asked to conduct an x-ray.Despite this, Dr. Kathleen Harold, M.D. refused to perform an x-ray or prescribe antibiotics, suggesting it was only a viral illness. We were told to use over-the-counter fever reducers, which did nothing to improve his condition. Two days later, at another clinic, they ran an x-ray—and it revealed he had a bacterial pneumonia, requiring immediate antibiotic treatment.Her decision not to conduct a proper examination led to delayed treatment for our son, risking his life. I believe this situation reflects a concerning level of care that no patient should experience.
