Dr. Kathryn Baerman, MD

Dr. Baerman is straight forward but comforting. She is a true professional. I appreciate her care, my surgery was not scary and I know it’s because she was so reassuring. Her assistant, Ronnie, has been 100% responsive and super helpful.

My first appt with Dr. Kathryn Baerman was a delight . Her warm friendly smile instantly made me feel comfortable .Dr. Baerman's thoroughness was impressive and ensuring .I never felt rushed . Fifteen years ago, I first noticed what I thought was hernia in my abdominal area. It didn't cause me much pain, so I just lived with it. But as its size and pain level increased, my primary care physician referred me to a surgeon who, after examining me and ordering a CAT scan, quickly dismissed my own medical opinion and told me that I didn't have a hernia at all. He said I had a condition called Diastasis Recti, a separation of abdominal connective tissue that frequently affects pregnant women. I am a man, but that did not disqualify me from this diagnosis. The surgeon told me to 'just live with it' as surgery was not recommended. The swelling and pain increased over the years to the point that I sought a second opinion, and that brought me to Dr. Kathryn Baerman. Her tests and examination confirmed a hernia and she repaired it two days ago. I am in recovery and relieved that Dr. Baerman listened to me and put my long medical saga to rest. Communication is the key.

Emerge never disappoints. Every physician I deal with, most recently Kathryn Baerman, in the past, Bill Hage and David Musante, are top flight physician professionals. In addition, the staff (everyone of them I have ever dealt with) are all the A Team. They are pleasant, professional and well-trained.

She is one of the few who is all about the patient ! She not only listens but her treatment is all about you! I first witnessed her treatment for my father and then my brother and daughter. I TRUST her which is everything you want in a physician.

Dr. Baerman Is very knowledgeable. Spend as much time as needed with her patience, explains everything to where you can understand. Very passionate and understanding. She is the best!!

Dr. Baerman has an excellent bedside manner - she was focused on me as a person, not just my condition, and seemed genuinely interested in my concerns. The physical exam itself was conducted in a manner of awareness and respect for my body - with explanations for each action being taken during the exam. Dr. Baermon is AWESOME. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 45. I thought this seems weird going to Emerge Orthopedic for surgical consult for breast cancer. I went in for my first visit all scared and nervous. Well about 5 minutes in, all those feelings were gone. She is amazing! Her affect is through the roof. She talks to you on your level and never rushes you out. I truly trust her education, experience and judgment. And... Ronnie, her assistant is the sweetest gentleman. You can tell that they are a great team together. They Really care for their patients!!! I would give them 10 gold stars if I could!!!!!

When my son fell seriously ill, he was paralyzed with fear and inconsolable. But within just a few minutes of his first meeting with Dr. Baerman, she and her assistant Ronnie were able to put him at ease. Fast-forward, my son made a full recovery. But no less important than the success of the surgery and post-operative care, the fact that Dr. Baerman and Ronnie were able to give my son peace of mind was itself a life saver.
