Shocked by the number of good reviews here for Dr. Landherr. I met with her FNP, Monica, who listened thoughtfully to me as I explained my endometriosis diagnosis 15 years prior and concern for my growing symptom recurrence. She and I determined that it was probably in my best interest to proceed surgical intervention, and she told me I was in good hands. After I sat in the exam room for over an hour, listening to her and her staff speaking negatively of me, my first impression of Dr. Landherr was that she displayed a total lack of warmth or, as I would soon discover, common decency or empathy. When I informed her of what Monica and I had discussed, she looked at my chart and noted the previous surgeries that I'd had (the previous lap, shoulder surgery, knee arthroscopy, tonsillectomy) and asked if I enjoyed having surgery in an accusatory tone. She said that there was no indication of endo on my ultrasound, which to my understanding is not an adequate diagnostic tool. She said it was suspicious that I wanted surgery when there were other, better treatment options. When she told me that in order to take the medication she was offering, I'd have to stop taking birth control, I told her that was something that I would need to discuss with my partner, and she was NOT impressed. My humiliation wasn't complete, though. She asked if I wanted children. I told her that I had always hoped to, but unfortunately life had not worked out that way so far. Then she asked why not, and I stumbled through a mortifying explanation of not being able to find a long-term partner. It was hands down the most embarrassing moment of my life, and I felt completely hopeless as I cried in my car after the appointment. In my notes, she didn't even make note of my previous endo diagnosis, despite it being in my notes from Monica. It's taken me over a year to feel comfortable with the idea of returning to a gynecologist. During this time, my pain and discomfort has only continued to increase, and I worry that I've waited so long that my organs will be severely damaged. Gynecological appointments are innately embarrassing and to have a doctor, not to mention a fellow woman, demean me the way that Dr. Landherr did was unconscionable. I still get emotional discussing this appointment with other doctors. I've finally worked up the courage to leave this review, in hopes that other women suffering with endo find another provider, rather than subject themselves to the same humiliation at the hands of Dr. Landherr.

Takes care of women in all stages of life
Dr. Landherr took over my care when I moved to Austin. Dr. Landherr is thorough, explains things completely and listens. She makes you feel like you are her only patient while with her. She orders all necessary testing to get a complete picture of your medical concerns. One of the best doctors I’ve ever gone to.

Best doctor ever, hands down
I transferred to the Austin area mid-way in a twin pregnancy and Dr. Landherr graciously took me on and helped me and screened me well till my twins were born via C-section after pre-eclampsia hit at 36 weeks. Then she helped me not only with the approval paperwork for my next fertility transfer but managed my next pregnancy as well which surprisingly (even with fertility treatment) turned out to be triplets. Despite my age (40s) and the shock of triplets, I never felt safer than with Dr. Landherr, who is as humane and heartfelt in her care as she is intelligent and skilled. She is a class act, with a deep soul and commitment to her patients as people. To me, that is a rare gift among human beings, much less doctors, and Dr. Landherr is that human being and doctor rolled into one. I am amazed to have found her and literally could not recommend her enough. Brava.

I trust her with my life…
Dr. Landherr provides amazing care and affords each of her patients with the time and attention they require and deserve. She’s personable and easy to talk to, and she listens! She’s been with me through both pregnancies and delivered both my babies (both c-section, one planned and one unplanned). My recoveries were indescribably easy! My scar? If you don’t know, you don’t know- it’s barely visable. I can’t say enough good things about her and her team- You won’t be disappointed.

I have seen 5 different OBs over the last 14 yrs and 6 pregnancies, and Dr. Landherr & her team are my favorite. It is really hard to find a team that has a good balance of a professional front desk experience, good nurses, reasonable wait times, and pleasant bedside manner during delivery. No, it's not perfect. The wait time for all AAOBGYN front desk interactions has really grown, which is their weakest point. Not everything can be scheduled online, which means long phone waits. I also preferred the experienced nurse practitioners with Dr. Seeker. But Dr. Landherr herself is a gem. She listens and helps troubleshoot issues. She is direct and efficient but not rude. If you schedule at the right times, the wait is almost non-existent. Her team is friendly and not overbearingly so. When my last delivery wasn't going the way I imagined, she stayed calm and made decisions to keep everyone safe.
