I had transvaginal mesh implanted one year after the FDA put out a warning. I hemorrhaged upon its insertion and had to stay overnight in the hospital. A year later in 2009, Dr Vargo tried to take it out unsuccessfully(and yet my medical records say that it was removed). They also say that she tried conservative treatment before any surgery, which she did not. As I lay here at 1:30 in the morning in 2025 screaming from the pain I had to warn whomever I could. This mesh causes agonizing pain. I was so angry when I returned from the hospital because I wound up with gangrene and almost died. She called and left a message on my answering machine but I was too sick to talk to her, and quite frankly too angry. By the time I finally was ready to talk to her, she never returned my phone calls. I am technically still her patient because she never released me from care and I would not recommend her to anyone. She ruined my life and I got under $2,000 in a class action lawsuit and have been unable to work ever since.
