Dr Merrill sat down and explained my procedure, answered my questions. I was having hand surgery and could not get my engagement and wedding rings off my finger. He got them off after I was under anesthesia and put them in a cup for me to keep them safe. I got them back in the recovery room. Surgery went great, hardly needed any pain pills afterward.

Dr. Merrill done a total knee replacement on my left knee. A blood clot formed 2 days after surgery and told me he do not do blood clots and told me to go to my primary doctor. After 7 months of dealing with him he said he has done all he can do. He was going to refer me to a clinic in Charlotte NC. I myself made an appointment at MUSC where I had to have another complete knee replacement. I am now doing a whole lot better with very good use of the knee. I would not recommend Dr. Merrill to anyone. There is alot more to this story I just hit the basics here.

Everyone in his office was very helpful especially the person who took the X-rays. Dr. Merrill obviously did a fantastic surgery since I am healing very quickly. He explained my progress and answered my questions. Very pleased with everything.

Dr. Merrill was not very informative, my appointment was always very quick and rushed. Questions were answered very quickly and I always left feeling like I didn't know what I should be doing to help my knee or what my next steps were. Luckily I only had to have three appointments with Dr. Merrill. Next time I will seek out a doctor at MUSC.

Very courteous personnel all the way from the front desk to the x-ray department to the Nurse Practioner to seeing Dr. Merrill He is a patient and caring doctor who took the time and answered all my questions. His handiwork is superior. His follow-ups and recommendations are very helpful. Thumbs up all around!

I had total knee replacement on both knees. He did an wonderful job, it has change my life. I'm 6 weeks out from my 2nd knee, so I still have some healing to do. It was well worth the pain of the surgery

I almost lost my foot/ankle because of this so called dr. I had 3 surgeries by him three months back to back and due to his negligence I got a severe infection and 2 years later I am still dealing with the aftermath. If not for my dr.at MUSC I would have lost my ankle/foot and thank you to infectious disease there at MUSC they too saved my life. I don't understand how this man is still working. Dr. Keith Merrill is a danger to everyone.

Dr. Merrill performed surgery on me after a car wreck in which I shattered my left humerus. Originally he was going to perform my surgery on a Monday, but specifically changed his schedule to have it done sooner (on a weekend). He was extremely attentive and thorough in my care. I had the upmost confidence in his decisions. I recommend him to all close friends and family!
