How fast can you get through an office visit?
This doctors main concern appears to be how fast can he get through an office visit. As soon as he walked in the room he was talking a mile a minute, and I know I was there less then 5 minutes and he was done.

I made the right decision when I chose Dr. Accousti to perform my rotator cuff surgery. He told me what to expect, what help I would need and made sure that I didn't start PT too soon as my tear was major. He has a good sense of humor and certainly made me feel very comfortable about having this surgery. The surgery was a success and I finished PT ahead of schedule and feel great! Thank you Dr. Accousti.

Horrible, worst experience of my life. I have had 7 surgeries this Dr. was lacking in patient Dr. transparency, pain management, returning phone calls, refilling my medication on time and terrible bedside manners!

Doctor destroyed my confidence in his ability to listen and understand my needs as a senior patient. Proceeded with a lecture on the value of steroid injections, instead of accepting my request not to submit to them based on another doctors advice to avoid them at all cost. Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) researchers have found accelerated arthritis and joint destruction can be the unintended result of intra-articular corticosteroid injections.

Dr. Accoustin provided me with my shoulder surgery. I went into this surgery thinking it was going to be very painful and scared to be frank with you. When in all actuality the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had some pretty good pain there for a little bit and my shoulder continues to have pain. But it is getting better. Next comes the physical therapy. I heard the recovery is pretty bad as well. I will take that at face value and just see where goes. Thank you Dr. Mike

I suggested Dr Accousti as a second opinion for two friends and both happily chose him and were very satisfied.

Happy Patient in Fredericksburg, VA – Dec 21, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Accousti?
After 6 months of treatment (pain meds, anti-inflammatory meds, PT-13 sessions, steroids-injection and by mouth) I finally received a MRI of my shoulder. The MRI showed an incomplete rotator cuff tear per the report, but the MD stated I didn't have a tear and recommended a topical steroid. I sought a second opinion and had surgery last week for a rotator cuff repair, rotator cuff debridement and subacromial decompression.

Great surgeon. He takes the time to listen and doesn't immediately conclude that surgery is needed. He tries other treatments to help the issue. He has now done surgery on both my shoulders. Great bedside manor.
