If you like being treated in humanely… see him
Dr Leavitt was once of the rudest, condescending providers I’ve ever met I have a graduate level education stink and he treated me like I was just a dumb woman. Waited for hours and was rushed through without any questions answered. His ego seems to be put above patient care, good medicine and common decency. He likes long wait times and short appointments because they make him feel like a powerful man. He should have his licenses revoked for negligence.

One year after a major bunionectomy, correction of 3 hammertoes, and a few screws in the joints, I have a PERFECT foot. Much gratitude to Dr. Leavitt. He is an excellent Dr. and I would recommend him to anyone needing foot care. He came highly recommended to me by fellow podiatrists and other patients.

Waited almost 2 hours to be seen for 5 min. Triple books patients. No covid social distancing protocols followed. Packed waiting room with patients standing. No respect for his patients based on this visit. Would never go back!

I recently had my left foot worked on by Dr. Leavitt. It had been injured approx 20 years ago through athletics. I ran in college and then later on ran multiple Boston marathons. After my injury, my ankle/foot got progressively worse. Finally ended up having surgery about 10+ years ago with different doctor. I had achilles debridement plus bone spurs removed. However, this surgery never worked. It got so bad that I could barely walk comfortably. My primary dr recommended Dr Leavitt so I gave him a try. It’s been since Dec 2019, but I am thrilled to say, ALL my discomfort is gone. I couldn’t be happier. I’m now thinking about putting my sneakers back on to give running another try. Thank you so much Dr Leavitt!!!

I had my second surgery with Dr. Leavitt on Nov. 2019. This recent procedure was a major reconstruction of my right foot. In between my surgeries, he performed bunion surgery on my wife, which was extremely successful and she has referred numerous friends to “ her hero” Dr. Leavitt. My surgery went very smooth as he predicted and I am well on my way to recovery, which will entail a few months plus therapy. I was there today for a follow up on a Saturday, believe it or not. How many Boston doctors see patients on a Saturday, full day? The ability to travel to Boston on a weekend is a blessing, designed by Dr. Leavitt to accommodate patients in remote areas. On our ride home my wife and I always do the same thing for the first fifteen minutes, raving about how fortunate we were to find him. He gives you ample time upon each visit, addresses all concerns and fully explains protocol, going forward, to take good care of your foot. Dr. Leavitt is truly a gift to all in need of foot care!!

Dr. Leavitt is not only personable but a thorough diagnostician. Although recuperation time from foot surgery was long halix limitis surgery on both big toes was successful. I moved to Connecticut, now have problems with another toe which means driving back to Dr. Leavitt who I trust.

unable to admit mistakes, and the fact that he was in over his head with my case. After informing him he misdiagnosed me and had results he refused to admit it. Staff is rude and incompetent. Wait times are the usual 1-3hours on weekends which I've grown to be used to. Yes he will see patients on the weekends, yes he shows he cares but at the end of the day the inability to admit a mistake that could've cost someone their livelihood and foot is unforgivable. I will not be back.

Dr. Leavitt doesn't listen/trust what patients say. He gave me 3day pain killers even though I was in extreme pain after bone surgery. Post surgery support is non-existent. His work may be good; but he doesn't care about patients or post-op care, all he cares about is his reputation. Office visits are a waste of time (average waiting 2h or more / 5min visit), office staff is unfriendly. He is rude and definitely not a people person. He should be in O.R. and not be working directly with patients

Dr. Leavitt does chooses to practice his trade without patient support - flat out plain and simple. His work may be good; yet I judge a doctor by the whole - including post-op care. Office visits are grueling, and you are made to feel like cattle or sardines. Post surgery support is non-existent. His choices about given ONLY a 48 hour pain management plan after MAJOR bone surgery is unique in my experience. Most doctors want you to heal and recover; he says "deal with it". Choose wisely.

Dr. Leavitt is a talented surgeon and a very kind person who truly cares about your pain. He's been my hero for several separate medical problems, twice when other doctors said nothing more could be done, to just cope with the pain . He repaired my foot damaged badly by arthritis. I have no pain and my foot is normal. You wait for him because he wants to make the suffering stop of so many who reach out to him, who often have been told elsewhere nothing more can be done. He's worth the wait.

In my opinion if a doctor has no regard for his patients, he is not worth seeing. People are packed like cattle and the wait time is never less than 2-3 hrs. When I questioned his staff about the long wait they repliedThis is the way he likes it. He is inconsiderate and rude. After stringing me along for one year for ankle pain he told me he was Stumped. When I questioned him about the long wait he responded that's how I do business Thank you very much Dr Leavitt for all the hours wasted!

This was my second visit. Dr.Leavitt seemed rushed; I had to wait ninety minutes to see him and had been longing forward to this visit. He clearly didn't remember me and contradicted two important items from the previous visit. He quickly informed me that i wasn't a surgical candidate and offered a cortisone shot in each foot. He did inform me that they would hurt and they did! I had hoped for more guidance in how to manage my arthritic feet and a kinder approach.to patient care.

I am very satisfied with the surgical outcome but due to his communication issues and complete lack of nursing and competent support staff, post-operative care is poor and resulted in a major complication.

I had a very difficult case involving five procedures at once. I had a second opinion and the other physician agreed fully with Dr. Leavitt's surgical plan. After the surgery I was fortunate to have very successful pain management. My first cast was removed after two weeks and my foot looked amazing. Another couple of months of casts and no weight bearing and I think I will feel like a new person.
