Dr. Kentaro Suzuki, MD

Staff was organized, friendly, and efficient from my first phone call to my eventual appointment. Dr. Suzuki was such a pleasure to deal with, warm, friendly, answered all questions, explained everything. He was such a delight that I was almost sorry I was not a surgical candidate, so that I could work with him further. He was honest about what he could or couldn't do for me, and provided me with a referral that seemed best to assist me. My husband I wanted a second opinion about the surgery and it was good to know that both physicians agreed that it was unnecessary.

Likely to be one of the PREMIER Orthopedic practices in all of SoCal. And Dr. Suzuki is very representative of the very high quality of the overall practice. Anyhow, from making the staff who helped me make an appointment to the office personnel, and the medical professionals themselves, everyone was extremely professional and knowledgable. I was first interviewed by Dr. Suzuki's PA, who documented all the particulars of my situation. She directed me to their in-house X-Ray team and the technician there knew exactly what was needed and got it done quickly and efficiently. Within a couple minutes Dr. Suzuki met with me, having already been briefed by his PA and the x-ray was on the screen on the wall. He patiently explained exactly what was happening with my knee and then discussed his recommended course of treatment. Wow...so good. (Want to be impressed? In dealing with a knee issue, I came to Ventura orthopedics and Dr. Suzuki as a new patient. I was so impressed with the amount of time Dr. Suzuki took with me in explaining results from that mornings x-ray and a prior MRI of my knee. And although nothing needed to be done at this time, we came up with a game plan for the next time I had a flareup. I’m very happy with the care at Ventura orthopedics.

Dr. Suzuki is so smart, knowledgeable and proactive. He explains all options and makes sure you understand exactly what he thinks you need and treatment options. He does not try to push you to have surgery. I am seeing him for osteoarthritis in both knees as well as meniscus tears and bone spurs. Knee replacement is the only real option in the future.

Very thorough and caring

He actually talk to his patients and makes eye contact instead of staring at a computer. He asked appropriate questions regarding my issues. He tailors his questions based on my answers and not on some stupid insurance form. He did a detailed physical examination and then made some recommendations for diagnostic testing to assist with helping me with my problem. Awesome experience! He’s definitely the best provider at Ventura Orthopedics by far!

Dr. Suzuki, is one of the best doctors at Ventura Orthopedics. I felt totally at ease during my appointment and got all the details of my MRI. He discussed all the possible treatments for my shoulder, and ensured we had all the details we needed to proceed with a surgery. He was described as the 'Shoulder guru' by my PCP and he lives up to that!
