Impersonal; Rushed; incompetent NP
I went for a skin check & ‘beauty’ appt on Nov 21 2022. Spent an hour in the waiting room . In the exam room the NP had me stand up while she stood about 4 feet away to examine me. How could she see small lesions that far away? I had one normal non-CA growth on my L leg. She asked if I wanted it off, I said yes .Now over a year later I still have an ugly dark brown quarter sz scar that looks worse than the original lesion. She also burned a suspicious growth on the bridge of my nose & later I wondered why no eye protection was used. She left the nitrous oxide bottle in the room so upon check out I told the secretary, as it was dangerous! A kid could get it & burn himself! During my appt Dr. Welch came in a hurry answering my Qs in as few words as possible. He gave me little ‘beauty’ advice (said a face lift! wow). The primary reason I went there was for non-invasive advice. This review is late because that appt is a bad memory. I have not gone back .

More focused on the cosmetic side of his business.
Dr. Welch seems more interested in the cosmetic side of his business than the skin cancer treatment side of the business. He no longer preforms the biopsies nor the removal of the cancers, but has his staff do the work. He rarely enters the room when I'm there for a consultation/biopsy/removal.

My appointment was rushed and abrupt. I would never return or refer anyone. He questioned the staff who accompanied him in the room, but made hardly any direct reference to me. Other staff members were pleasant, but office was not covid safe. Very few masks and no distancing.

Dr. Welch is a kind and considerate physician that took the time to listen to my concerns. He was then able to provide a plan that was most beneficial to my own needs. Not only was he conscientious of what was needed, he provided several affordable options to accomplish my goal. I have also taken my children to see him for various skin problems and he has always been so kind and has put them at ease in what could be an embarrassing situation. I highly recommend Dr. Welch and his staff!

I have been seeing Dr. Welch since the mid nineties, when he diagnosed and treated a small skin cancer. At the time, he told me that I had gotten skin cancer 20 years too early (because of all of my sunbathing). As I have gotten older, I have continued to see him when my insurance allows it/when he is in my insurance network. He is honest, personable, knowledgeable, and keeps up with the latest treatment modalities. I highly recommend Dr. Welch for any skin concern.

He was very personable, kind, and informative, as well as his staff. Through some friends, I found out that he is quite giving to the community. That's very admirable for a busy doctor. I will definitely continue.

He is wonderful! He helps me with malasma and wrinkles. He cares about his patients! I once asked him what I could do to enhance or improve my face and his response impressed me ...he asked if anything specific bothered me. I thought that was amazing!! I needed a lot but he only wanted to sell me what I was bothered by. Great guy!!

Awful. As a new Patient, first time seeing him, he spent less than 5 minutes with me but had the audacity to bill my Insurance co. more than $300! I will not refer anyone I know to him. To top it all off he had a terrible personality, maybe be should see a doctor too, if you know what I mean.
