Great Doc
I find it ironic that the reviews are either 5 star or 1 for the most part.. I have worked with the public for years and every interaction is judged by the first few seconds of contact. My perception however typically affords positive and negative inner review before saying one is this or that. That said my review of Dr. Bourne is based on her performance as my physician and she and her staff have been spot on. Dr. Bourne and her staff have worked with me and helped me reach a much better place with my type 2 diabetes. So would I recommend her YES I would...

Very difficult to schedule appointments with her. When you do get in, you don't see her, you end up seeing some random nurse practitioner that you've previously never met and knows nothing about your medical history. Fails to not when testing has already been completed and orders the exact same testing again too soon for insurance companies to approve. She used to be great, caring, and seemed concerned about patient health. My last 5 interactions with her (or should have been her) left me with unanswered questions about my health that were not satisfactorily answered. The nurses are great. The front end staff are nice, of at least the long-term staff member is always consistently friendly and efficient. But no, I have been actively searching for a new endocrinologist because this doctor has stopped responding to patient queries, pawns me off to NP's, and does not respond anymore. I don't why the change, but I am searching for another doctor, at this point.

HORRIBLE!!!!! My son is a type 1 diabetic and tried to make an appointment to become a patient with Dr. Bourne. He was DENIED because he didn't go to a new patient appointment with her last year, even though he did not know he was scheduled. He tried to make an appointment with her today and was told she would NOT ever see him. He requires insulin to LIVE and it is unfathomable that a doctor could deny treatment to anyone. Especially living thru the pandemic right now and being high risk. My son needs a doctor and is being DENIED for a reason that is ridiculous. I wanted to rate her a ZERO, but it will not let me.

How in the world can a doctor that you have been a patient of for over 14years fails to inform you that she is moving and closing down the practice? Instead was told in Oct to call after Jan 19th to schedule annual appointment as they are getting a new appointment system and can not make now. So when you finally remember to call , you find out the office closed and if you want your medical records, you have to pay for them. Thank you for telling us. A simple letter or email would have been n

I had a very poor experience with this Dr. I only saw her one time in the 2 years I went to her office. Instead, I had to deal with nurse practitioners who knew very little about my disease. After hurricane Irma, I needed emergency help to get my medicine which had spoiled. I was treated like a criminal. They would not order it from my insurance's pharmacy, in the increments that I asked for. Instead they demanded a test which I knew would not be accurate as my medicine had gone bad.

I feel like all of the nice things about Dr Bourne have already been said. I can only add 2 things: 1. I too was referred by Eric S who left a review in January. He Loved her bedside manner and she helped him Tons with diabetes. 2. I started seeing her in 2016 for my diabetes when my a1c was 14... Ouch right? With Dr Bournes help and awesome staff I am happy to report that my a1c as of Monday is 7.4. It took a Lot of work and I could not have done it without Dr Bourne being my cheerleader.

I work in the healthcare field so I know good doctors when i see them and Dr Bourne is a Great doctor. I think of the otehr reviewers said it first but Dr Bourne really is the Best Endo. I travel all the way from Daytona to work at one of the hospitals in orlando and was not too crazy about any of the hospital endos, We get a discount on the co-pay for using someone within our orlando health system but i would rather pay a full $50 co-pay to see Dr Bourne. I am bringing my husband soon.

Since my May 11 update I wanted to let you all know that I made my partner Carl see Dr Bourne in at the end of May. He had been fatigued, not sleeping well, moody, had dry skin, was sensitive to heat, you name it. Turns out he is hyperthyroid. He is not totally better yet but should be in the next few weeks since he is taking medicine. Thank you Dr Bourne for taking care of my BFF.

Dr Bourne splained everything to me in detail I know what to expect from surgery to recovery. i live in a kissimmee but she is worth the drive. i have a $75 co-pay so i want to get my $ worth out of every visit.

I am so thrilled that my ob/gyn referred me to an all female practice. One day i received a call from one of Dr Bourne's staff that I had been referred for my hyperthyroid and diabetes. I scheduled appointments to see Dr B and the educator on the same day which saves me a co-pay. Since my a1c is not that great... they started me on an injectible medicine on my very first visit. They gave me samples to ensure it would work before sending a 90 day prescription to my mail order pharmacy. I was back

Dr Bourne is Great. She was recommended to me by a former co-worker who moved away last year. I sure am glad he liked her enough to recommend her. I felt like I was spinning my wheels with the other endo. Dr Bourne and her staff are great compared to my previous 2 Endos. They are nice and very helpful when i need to reschedule appointments due to work travel. The office manager has helped me out a few times when i have had insurance issues. Dr Bourne gives me her undivided attention.

The best Endocrinologist I have ever been too! Honest, caring, compassionate an all around fantastic doctor. I have been living with Hypothyroidism for most of my life and I have to say the ability to be free from my symptoms has made a huge impact on my life! For those complaining about service and co-pays/co-ins honestly, you wouldn't go to a car mechanic without paying for the service, so why do you think you can go to a place of business and not pay for service? I absolutely recommend!
